We stayed for one night - arriving in the early hours of the morning due to a train strike- . Night staff had waited up for us not knowing when we would arrive. The exceptional service and helpfulness continued the next day as we tried to contact our airline to sort out flights. In addition our room was lovely- over... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week with my sister and her husband. Overall, it is a very nice hotel. My sister and her husband were in a charming room 7 which was very spacious with a rediculously large bathroom by Paris standards. Our room - room 1 was a Junior Suite and not at all... More

With such a large number of options and so many parts of the city to consider, this hotel ticked most of the boxes. My wife and I were traveling with our 14 and 10 year olds and we still prefer to keep them close by, so look for family of adjoining rooms where possible. The de la Bretonnerie has several... More

We stayed here for three nights after a disastrous experience with a Paris Stay apartment. A well run hotel with lovely staff in the best part of Paris. We will stay here again.

We have a lovely 4 day stay at this hotel while visiting friends in Rue Des Archives. We didn't take the breakfast option, there are two wonderful bakeries within 100m. Our room was on the third floor (there's a lift) and faced into the small courtyard on the right of the entrance door. The room was quiet - even though... More

Delightful hotel where you feel welcome as soon as you step through the door. To say you are in the centre of Paris there is no street noise, beautifully quiet as is the hotel, which is bliss, especially at night, an oasis of calm. The breakfast room in the cellar is great with unlimited coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit... More

I have now been a guest at this lovely hotel for three visits to Paris. Staying at the Hotel Bretonnerie is such a sweet pleasure. Not a touristy place, but still one where the staff does whatever it takes to make your stay a pleasant one in Paris. One visit my friend became ill and the staff was amazing in... More

This was our second stay here and we weren't disappointed. This time we had a better (and more expensive) room. The room was comfortable and well-kept, if a bit cluttered with unnecessary furniture, and the bathroom was large, if slightly oddly designed (small bath, no shower, no heated towel rail). Our room overlooked a courtyard where noisy building work began... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
