I've stayed at this hotel on three different occasions, and would go back again. A nice little hotel right in the Marais, within walking distance to many different sights and areas. Metro close by as well. The rooms are quite nice, with comfortable beds and decent bathrooms. The staff at the hotel are particularly great, very friendly and helpful, and... More

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel during June. Its very well located in Les Marais (very close to lot of good restaurants and brunch places). The neighborhood has a great feel. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring Latin Quarter, Les Marais, Louvre musuem and taking cruise on Seine River. The room is quite comfortable. The... More

We booked a quad room in this hotel for one night. It was a bit old fashioned, but absolutely charming, clean and with good beds. Once all heating was turned off and windows were opened we got a decent night's sleep. The people at reception were nice and helpfull. Can recommend as it is right in the heart of hustle... More

The best advantage of Hotel de la Bretonnerie is excellent location. The hotel is only 3-4 minutes walk to hotel de ville metro station. (Line 1).The hotel is located in lovely marais district where is a shopping and trendy coffee paradise .River Seine is only 5 minutes away and Notre Dame Cathedral is 10 minutes away by walk. Cleanliness and... More

Stayed a night at this hotel with my husband as a pre Birthday treat which is perfectly located 5 minutes' walk from the Pompidou Centre and 15 minutes' walk from Notre Dame in the heart of the fashionable Le Marais district. The hotel dates back to the 17th century with original beams and authentic charm. We booked a chambre charmante... More

Great value for the location and level of service. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and it is close to great dining, Notre Dame, and the Metro. The breakfast was delicious, as is the fresh squeezed OJ from the fancy machine. I found it to be a little stuffy with everyone turning on their radiators. So, I had to open... More

I thought this hotel was in a perfect location in the Marais. We were able to walk to many of the locations we wanted or take the RER. We stayed in a "Charming Room" which was much more spacious than anticipated. We had a queen size size bed and there was a single bed in the room too with plenty... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and found it to be a charming hotel in a great neighbourhood filled with sights, restaurants, bars, boutiques, all within walking distance. The metro is only a five minute walk. The 'charming rooms" are large and a good size and each one has a different decor. The staff is friendly &... More

Located in what seems to be the gay village, the hotel is very clean and easy to find from the Metro. Despite the busy area on a weekend, we had a great sleep, even with the window open - I asked for a street view when booking, and got it - but would recommend avoiding this if you are a... More

I have now stayed here twice, once with my husband and this time with a good friend. It is charming, the open beam ceiling rooms are beautifully decorated a nd the staff is very helpful. It is conveniently located near most any place you'd want to visit in Paris.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
