Nice enough neighbourhood in the 9eme arr. Plenty of reasonable restaurants in the vicinity, and very short walk to the Metro. The room was very clean and while not large was big enough for one or two. Reasonable bathroom, good bedding, aircon worked. I asked for a quiet room so got a room with a view on the courtyard side:... More

As my wife and I had not been in paris before, we spent a bit of time on trip advisor trying to find the perfect spot to stay for three nights. I think we did it! For a three star hotel in any country, never mind paris, this place was fantastic. Omelettes, keesh, croissants and chocolate nutella for breakfast. Apartment... More

It's a great location. Great neighborhood. But the hotel is only OK. Internet is SLOW -- like dial up speed. Room was quiet but small, with a big stain on the carpet, and crummy thin towels. In the three person room, one of the beds is just a cot, which is not clear when booking. Staff was indifferent.

My boyfriend and I returned last week from a long weekend away in Paris in which we stayed at this hotel. Could not fault this hotel whatsoever. It was a fantastic stay with welcoming, polite staff. The bedrooms were great and they were cleaned everyday with new towels. Breakfast was great. I would certainly recommend this hotel!! Thank you for... More

Our room was fantastic, the breakfast and afternoon snacks were delicious, and the staff was helpful and caring. While out sightseeing my boyfriend broke his foot. The staff went out of their way to help us. They arranged for a taxi to take us to the hospital and packed us a goodie bag with lots of food since we would... More

we spent one night in June in this hotel. The reception is excellent! Linda was very friendly and welcomed us very well. There are always free and fresh drinks and snakes beside the reception. The room was clean, not noisy, the breakfast was perfect. Just to recommend!

Stayed for 5 nights. Hotel is very clean, bright and the staff are very welcoming. Breakfast perfect for a busy day out and about. Rooms aren't huge but this is Paris. Good location only a short stroll from the Metro. Nice neighbourhood with a good choice of restaurants. Would happily stay again.

George Opera is in the perfect location, a block from St. Georges metro station and half-way between the Moulin Rouge and the Grand Opera House. The breakfast is lovely. Everyone is friendly (and speaks multiple languages). Lynda, at the front desk, is particularly sweet. She made us feel like we were her friends staying for a few days. She's the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
