I am compelled to write a brief note to say that Hotel George from the chamber maid to management, provided a wonderfully welcoming and exceptional base for a fab-u-lously relaxing yet fun-filled girlie weekend! Cannot wait to return.

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris. The Hotel George Opera, Paris is the perfect hotel for a girlie weekend in Paris. A special mention to Zinedine who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay at the Hotel George and also Anees (hope I spelt that right) they were always friendly, knowledgeable and happy to... We stayed for three nights and have to say, out of over ten visits to Paris over the last fifteen years, this has been one of the nicest hotels we have been to. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Although the bed was small, it was very comfortable and we both slept... More

The service at the hotel is excellent , Zinedine was very friendly and helpful to ensure we made the most of out time in the city. The... More

We spent the Easter weekend in Paris and stayed at the Hotel George Opera for 3 nights. The hotel exceeded our expectations, mainly due to the friendliness of all the staff. Our room on the first floor was small, with a window not facing the street, but had a very comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room... More

What sets this hotel apart is the excellent staff. They are a credit to their organisation. We dealt mainly with Zinedine and Anees (hope I spelt those right!) and were absolutely taken aback by how helpful they were. Whether it was a travel adapter, general queries, organising a taxi or even getting milk at 1am, they were more than happy to... More

This hotel is great. Perfect location, only 20 mins walking to Ile de la Cite and 15 mins walking to Sacre Coeur. No more than 10 minutes walking to Galeries Lafayette. Clean rooms and excellent service, the staff was really nice. Definitely would recommend it and will book again for future trips to Paris.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
