We were expecting a Family Room, but that it would be small. We got a couple extra beds stuffed into a cramped room. Bathroom had broken fixtures, mold and sloppy caulking, also cramped. Elevator was scary, and only possible to carry two persons. We had to pay for one night based on the cancellation policy, so we managed and booked... More

We could not believe we find a hotel so dirty and old and poor in Paris. We spent a very bad night there. The breakfast is horrible. Poor and everything looks dirty. The carpet smell so bad. You could see dirty for everywhere. Nerve more

We stayed here for a week and the hotel is definitely charming. The staff are wonderful and the location is terrific. My room was overlooking the main street and very noisy. I enjoyed Tonic Hotel, however the walls are very thin, and the rooms a bit more shabby than charming.

We stayed on the fourth floor in a family/superior room....it was not a nice room, it consisted of a staircase, a main bedroom where the curtains were falling down and a minibar/fridge that was so noisy that it kept you awake, on the landing at the top of the stairs there were 3 beds dotted around where was room, curtains... This hotel has a wonderful location. It is located on a street with many other hotels and restaurants. Pont Neuf is only 2 minutes away walking distance where you can cross the bridge to go to St.Germain and enjoy the live Paris life with amazing restaurants. We walked everywhere from our hotel including Notre Dame, Louvre, St.Germain, Opera. The hotel... More

I was only staying overnight in Paris so I was looking for a cheap accommodation near the Louvre to beat the long queues and have an early start. So this served it's purpose. The place is old, my room was small and so was the bathroom. The shower head was a bit broken, but I still managed to shower so... More

This nice little hotel is conveniently located right near the Louvre and the Ile de la Cite. My family (Mom, Dad and two teenagers) stayed there for a week and loved the location as it is close to the center of town and the tube stations. The room was not huge but very comfortable and it had a small fridge... More

I ended up booking this last minute in the UK with ebookers.com as the trip I had originally planned- Eurostar and different hotel- fell through due to protesters in the tunnel. I went with my 16 yr old daughter. We flew into Charles de Gaulle and got the RER train to Châtelet des Halles. Fairly easy to get tickets and... More

The hotel is small and so are the rooms but clean and staff is helpful and nice. Buffe breakfast is quite expensive but ok (campared with average - I quess). Location is the best thing about the hotel - public transportation veri near and also many (historical) attractions.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
