This is a charming facility just off Montparnasse and adjacent to Metro Vavin. Clever use of space makes for larger than expected guest rooms. Inclusive breakfast was very French and tasty. Montparnasse side rooms can be a bit noisy particularly if one forgets to close the windows in the evening. Attentive staff typical of the brand are very helpful with... More

We stayed here back in 2013 and i chose a Mercure hotel based on the fact we'd stayed in one before and this was our first aboard holiday as a couple and i was concerned about having problems. From the pictures it didn't look the best hotel but i was more concerned about reputation. So...when we walked through the door... More

Excellent hotel! Will definitely visit again. Very clean room and bathroom. Nice view from bedroom. In a nice safe neighbourhood. Less than five minutes walk from two metro stations, Raspail and Vavin. Staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. We were provided with a fridge in our room which came with complimentary drinks; orange juice, sparking water, coke,... More

Staff were very vague.staff should have excellent knowledge of sightseeing interests for visitors.one staff member had no idea o the hop on hop off tourist bus where it did pick ups.guess what its only down the road.we made sure we left pamphlets of this service in the hotel. We picked a mercure hotel as they have been very helpful in... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for having shared your comments with the other travellers. I am sorry for your disappointment. Actually, it can have occured that the receptionnist you dealt with just arrived at the hotel and therefore, could not have been able to reply to you as expected right away. Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Jan 2015. Great breakfast, very clean and comfortable room on the 4th floor just a bit on the small side. Wouldn't want to try out the shower if you are over 180cm tall. Location great just a 30 minute stroll down the Boulevard San Michel takes you to the Notre Dame Cathedral... More

We stayed here from New years for three nights. The location was great, so close to transport and such a pretty area. Elisabeth, who worked in reception was so helpful in getting us reservations. Had a small attic room which was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast but unless you were catching a train or were on business why would anyone, when you are a short walk away from numerous streetside cafés and restaurants in the 5th and 6th arrondissements. The only complaint were... More

Thank you for your comment. Next time you are staying with us you should try our continental buffet for breakfast, we bake our own bread and croissants. I am forwarding the information about the windows to our gouvernante right away. Thank you very much again. Best regards from Paris. General Manager More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
