This is a great little hotel in a fantastic location. Only 15 minutes walk away from Gare de Nord station, so easy transfer from Charles de Gualle airport. The hotel is small, but perfectly formed. The rooms are cozy & clean with comfy beds. Only this I would say was they were a bit on the cool side, could have... More

Am currently staying in one of the rooms here - first impression upon arrival was very different to first impressions of the photos on their site. Greeted with a stained carpet, noisy/rattly aircon and filthy walls behind the bed, we were already keen to get out of there. To add to the uncleanliness, the blankets are covered in brown sweat... Arrived at the hotel around 11am, baggage stored straight away, lovely reception staff. Had 4 rooms which were spotless, had slippers in, gorgeous hot showers and fluffy towels. Breakfast was great, loads to eat with fantastic coffee. Metro is 2 minutes walk, just next to McDonalds. Had a decent steak at the restaurant on the corner of the main road.... More

Stayed for 3 nights, great value for money!! we were on the 5th floor in a standard room, would have been a nice view but the hotel was being renovated, which meant plastic covering the windows,(only reason they didnt get 5 stars) bit of a let down. The room was really nice. The staff were so friendly, helped us get... More

First impressions count in the hotel trade and my impression of the reception area on arrival was not good. It was rather scruffy, cluttered and worn looking and then I had to remind the male receptionist that my breakfast was included in the room rate just as he was about to charge me extra. The room was okay but certainly... More

The photos of the hotel make it look much nicer than it is. The reception staff were pleasant enough and one woman was extremely happy to help, but the others not so much. We visited Paris for the first time and enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Pax Opera. Great rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast( especially the crossaints). The hotel is situated close to a metro station from where you can explore all corners of this beautiful city. I will most definetely recommend the hotel.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
