The Pax is within walking distance of Montmartre, and has 3 different Metro line stops all a few minutes walk away. The location is great! What you dont get is alot of space in the rooms. We were given a room that was so small, the only place we could put our bags was in front of the door, which... More

We needed a hotel in central Paris for myself and my wife and our 3 adult daughters to celebrate my 70th birthday. This worked out perfectly. We booked a double and a triple room. As temperatures reached 40 Celsius the air conditioning was very welcome. Agreed the lift was very small but that is normal in centre city as lifts... More

This hotel had lovely helpful staff and the rooms were clean with air conditioning (travelled in summer) which you can't take for granted in the heat. The breakfast was great and filling and was fresh! Very close to public transport & restaurants. We are returning at the end of July and can't wait as we haven't been in as good... More

We stayed in a room on 5th floor in June 2015. Don't know where to even begin... The lift only fit 2 people or one person with luggage. My husband kept bumping the roof every time he moved around the room on 5th floor. We tried to get the room changed but we were given the " sorry ma'am, rooms... More

Perfect location! Central to all the major landmarks, close to several metro stations. Rooms are modern, clean, and beautiful. Best part of this hotel is the breakfast, amazing breads, pastries, fruit and a range of other tasty treats! Service is lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2015

We stayed here two nights and staff were very helpful and spoke good English. We found all the attractions we wanted to see, the nearby Cadet Metro station made getting around easy. Plenty of nearby eateries too. The rooms are the usual European size so a bit smaller but fully equipped and we had free wifi. Breakfast was continental.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
