This hotel is brilliant for short breaks abroad does exactly what you need it to do has all the standard features you would come to expect from a hotel what stands out is just how friendly and helpful the staff of the hotel are really helpful with directions on the metro and nothing was ever a problem for them would... Loved it. Just 200m from Glaciere and walking distance to Rochereau (where the airport shuttle stops, as well as many other metro lines) and the catacombs! They let us do an early check in which was all we needed after arriving at 6am! The staff is nice and they have everything you need there (hair dryer etc) there is a... More

Just had a comfortable stay here. It's a 3 star hotel so not sure what some of the other reviews expected! Stayed on the top floor room 559. The room was small but certainly big enough for 2 of us and 2 cases! Your only in your room to sleep, if your not then you need to get out more,... More

No complaints about our stay here! The continental breakfast was fine, with fresh rolls, cereal, yogurt and good coffee. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to a subway station, and if one enjoys walking it's easy to get to the Seine. The room is small but not uncomfortably so.

I stayed here for three nights with a friend, and I would say my stay was very pleasant. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 11am and were given an early check in with no problem. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Our room was small, but certainly big enough for us and our luggage. It got... More

Based on reviews and location, I booked the Timhotel Gare de l'Est for a short layover night in Paris. I found it slightly cheaper on the hotels own website than the usual hotel booking sites, and price included breakfast. The girl at the reception was nice and friendly, but despite giving all my details at booking (address, phone number, email... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed in timhotel gare de'l est. we were never in paris before so we weren't sure about using the metro. The girl at the reception desk was so helpful as we're all the staff extremely helpful. She made travelling around paris simple. It's literally a walk around the corner to the nearest metro. The room was... More

Admittedly my expectations were not very high for a 3* hotel, however everything about this place is basic. Our room was tiny, I could barely fit between the bed and the wall without having to turn sideways (and i am a 5ft4 7.5 stone woman !) it was incredibly hot and stuffy and we visited in the middle of January.... Me and my wife visited Paris for a weekend and stayed for one night in this hotel. Got early check-in on request. The room was really tiny but very clean. The bed was little smaller than the queen size but comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks guys :-)

Staying in Canal Saint-Martin

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighborhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
