After reading the reviews, we were disappointed when we saw our room (6th floor at the front), which is probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the most sparsely furnished (a cupboard, a bed, but no chest of drawers)! We were advised when we checked in that a tile in the bathroom had been broken, and it... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and would definitely return. The Metro station is around the corner and the hotel has two nearby supermarkets and many good value local bistros. The proximity to the bustling Rue Mouffetard and Latin Quarter is great for dining/drinking. Our room was plenty big enough, with a bathroom including tub and pretty Juliette balcony/windows. We... An ex Paris resident, I was visiting my son at the Sorbonne for a few days. Positives: Good location, pleasant neighbourhood, plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity (like everywhere in Paris), metro Gobelins not far. Hotel partially refurbished, room clean (No. 65), new bathroom, reasonably quiet in spite of ambulance sirens (hospital nearby), delightful view over rooftops and... More

We spent four nights at this hotel excellent location close to metro, typical French Paris hotel small rooms but clean and tidy, staff friendly want to please, breakfast area small but fun and a laugh, food was good and fresh. Hotel was good base and we did an evening trip on the Parisienne bateaux river cruise, sight seeing with dinner... More

Not the height of luxury but adequate if you wish a short comfortable central Paris stay. Rooms are small, beds are comfortable, wifi is offered free and a decent breakfast is provided. A safe is provided in the room but it is tiny and cannot take an iPad. Children are welcome and front desk staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and... More

We stayed again at Grand Hotel Des Gobelins for 5 nights and all I can say is that we made a great choice. The rooms are pretty nice, breakfast is excellent, the service is also great and the location is simply unbeatable. We highly recommend it.

I booked Paris as a special birthday treat for myself. Eurostar plus hotel terrific price. First impressions of hotel were promising but sadly those rapidly dwindled. My room was on the sixth floor and because the fire door was closed it was impossible to find. Back down to reception to ask...the chap was really abrupt...back up to the sixth..found room... More

Grand Hotel des Gobelins is a wonderful surprise! The hotel is situated in the Latin Quarter, and a short walk to Notre Dame. The hotel is walking distance from the subway, and the bus stops in front of the door. The hotel is in an older bldg., however, it has been redecorated and is quite comfortable. The hotel has 45... Nice hotel located in the city center, close to public transport, many restaurants surrounding. Room was a little bit smaller than expected, but no issue at all. Breakfast provided by hotel is good, just avoid to come too late :-)

I enjoyed my weekend stay at the Grand hotel des Gobelins. Its greatest advantage (as most reviews have mentioned) is that it is a short walk to two Metro stations - Saint Marcel and Les Gobelins. This is especially handy if you aren't using a car to go around the city as I did. The hotel itself is quaint and... More
