It was over all a great little place to stay. We traveled with our daughter. She had her own little room and it was adjacent to ours. Her shower was not the best but our room and bathroom was fine. All is very small but very clean and very well situated. Excellent staff that were very helpful. Had breakfast at... More

Stayed for three nights in August. We had no towels in the bathroom until the last day; we were told they had none to give us. Rooms were fine, though the air conditioner was very loud. Nice restaurant next door, and great location close to the metro and Sacre Coeur. Breakfast was included in our package, and was adequate. Lots... More

I stayed for 3 nights at this little hostel, after a business trip in Luxembourg. The place was kinda colorful and pintoresque. The location was the best of all: just behind the metro station, and located in the center of Montmartre. I really enjoyed walking around, and arrived on saturday, when a flea market was installed just in front of... More

Just outside the main tourist areas, however close enough to the city centre and the touristy areas that can be reached within minutes by bus or metro underground. the rooms are compact but comfortable. Great staff and alway obliging. For a two star hotel it is a good place to stay. clear, comfortable and great people looking after the place.... More

Restaurant tips below Everything about the hotel is pretty much written down in the 10 or so reviews written before mine. They are all accurate in my opinion. I can only add: - standard breakfast is 9 Euro, buffet 12 Euro. - WiFi was excellent in room 604. - much street noise in room 604 but earplugs solved that. We went... More

I know this hotel for many years, recently went back. Room is not spacious, however clean. I can recommend this hotel for budget travelers. Service is efficient. Centrally located in Montmartre area. 1 Minute from Metro, nice pub next door with good food and for Paris understandings reasonable prized. In max. 15 min. you are at main attractions. reliable !!!!!!

The location could not be better! Easy to find and if you like walking, great base to explore Paris on foot... Sacre Coeur Cathedral approx ten mins walk, great views from the tower, Paris looks beautiful from up there, just like Eiffel Tower but not so crowded..

the room was clean and while the hotel is oldish the colorful decoration was fun; very good in-room wifi and standard breakfast, Metro station at the hotel corner. Nice staff but I had to explain why I needed an invoice?! What i did not like was the noise outside! I asked for a quiet room but was given one by... More

The hotel has a great location, amazingly connected to all tourist sites, yet in a bohemian historical Montmartre. It is a very charming establishment, with colorful and clean rooms and great views. Although on the smalish side, rooms are well organized and have everything you may need. Staff is extremely polite and helpful, and breakfast is very good. We stayed... More

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel in the heart of Paris' artist enclave. Breakfast was excellent. Love the location as well overlooking a park with views of the cathedral. Rooms give you everything you need--clean with private baths. Not fancy but quite enjoyable.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
