Dear James, Thank you for your comment. We are very desappointed you did not appreciate your stay with us. The Classic double room you booked is fully described on Booking website, with room size and pictures. Of course the square meter is rare and expensive in the 6th arrondissement but we also propose larger rooms, as Superior or Deluxe rooms.... More

What could be better than to be in a clean and cozy hotel located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris! With the help of the concierges (welcoming, patient, informative), we easily walked to the Luxembourg Gardens, where we had morning coffee and croissants from a nearby pâtisserie, ate dinner at our favorite restaurant around the corner, La Ferrandaise, and learned... After exhaustive research, I selected this hotel because of its excellent reviews, good location, and decent price. This was my third trip to Paris, but my first one going solo. I've learned Paris hotel rooms are tiny, but functional. If you want a bigger room, don't reserve the cheapest one and expect palatial! It will no doubt be tiny. I... More

overpriced for a three star Hotel even in Paris. We had to change our room. The first offered was tiny and the safe placed right on the floor of the minimal-sized cupboard did not work, which the man at the desk confirmed. We had to insist on a room change, which was possible on our insistence, even though he maintained... More

Dear Kiwiss, We thank you for your review. Despite we do not know the rate quoted per your tour operator, ours prices are rather reasonable considering the 6th arrondissement is the most expensive per square meter. We do apologize for the safe problem but hopefully you were not the last check in and we had the opportunity in upgrading your... More

This is a practically located hotel a short walk from the lovely Luxembourg garden. I booked a superior room requesting it to be non-smoking three months before arrival and was given room 56 with an ashtray. The room did not smell of smoke so me and my wife decided to not make a fuss and just go with it. The... More

Fairly compact rooms but neat and tidy with modern bathrooms. Standard French breakfast. Good free wifi. Great location, lots of bistros, brasseries restaurants, bars and shops all around. 20 mins walk to the Louvre. Great spot to explore from! Wonderfully helpful staff, especially Nigel.

Having visited Paris roughly 35 times over the last 40+ years, I have had fewer than 5 favorite hotels. Le Clos Medicis is now at the top of my list. The quiet convenient location is matched by the attentive staff, comfortable rooms, ample breakfast and proximity to great restaurants, parks and public transportation (RER Luxembourg is only 5 min away).... We've been to Paris quite often, but never found a Hotel which really suited us. Finally, this is it! It's a small hotel just 5 mins walk from Jardins de Luxembourg (and the RER station which brings you straight in from CDG airport) and equally close to Bvd St Germain, Bvd St Michel, the Cluny Museum and so much more...A... We were looking for somewhere relaxed to stay for a mother daughter trip to Paris. The Latin quarter is such a nice location - easy to get to and sightsee from. The hotel didn't disappoint. Though a bit tired and shabby in places, the service was impeccable and we had a room upgrade without asking! Best bit was coming home... More

Spend several nights here in February. Front desk staff was always courteous, but more business-like than talkative. Was upgraded to a deluxe room upon check in. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
