Great location! Rooms are fine in size (somewhat smaller than suggested by the photos). Very clean, nice bathroom. Hot water was sparse though, had to shower quickly to allow your roommate some warm water. Lots of cafés around to grab breakfast. We did this instead of the hotel's buffet. All in all a great stay, would definitely recommend it.

If coming in to CDG airport or Gare du Nord this is an excellent location. Right on top of Luxembourg station and the gardens, walking distance to Notre Dame and the many restaurants on the left bank and Sorbonne but just a little on the edge so it's really quiet at night. Rooms were well equipped with safe, Minibar, aircon... More

Well located modest hotel. The rooms are a little smaller than the photographs suggest, but the overall experience was good. Breakfast , not always available in smaller Parisien hotels, was good, and the hotel clean and welcoming. Would stay again

We had five nights at the hotel. Room was very clean and tidy. Bathroom is quite small. Narrow balcony, unfortunately we couldn't see the Eiffel Tower from our room. We did request a room with a view of the tower but unfortunately didn't get it. Hotel was very quiet. The gardens across the road are beautiful an ideal place to... More

I loved the location of this hotel, a little bit out of the way- not too in the thick of it, near the Luxembourg gardens which are beautiful! Easy enough to get all around paris with the excellent train and underground system.. Close to the RER airport line.. The hotel itself was fine, good size, good bed, good bathroom, they... More

Stayed at the Elsya at the beginning of our month's holiday across Europe. After arriving at the airport we caught the train straight to Luxembourg station on the RER B line. Once you come out of the metro stop it's just around the corner, so brilliant location. Pretty good room size with plenty of storage and good size bathroom. Modern... More

Spent three nights here in room on 3rd floor. Street not a problem. Very convenient location to Metro (including connection to CDG Airport), Left Bank and Luxembourg Gardens. Surrounded by cafes and within walking distance of Seine and Notre Dame. Rooms comfortable and clean, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast tasty and more than enough to keep us going until after... We recently spent five nights at the Elysa Luxembourg and I was encouraged to stay there by the good reviews on Trip Advisor; and I was not disappointed. We stayed in a triple room on the 5th floor - the room had a narrow balcony from which we could see the Eiffel Tower. The furnishings were very nice and the... More

Great hotel! Very clean and staff was very helpful. The elevator was a little small and awkward to get your luggage in to but other than that, everything was perfect. The metro is right around the corner which is great when you've been walking all day! Will definitely stay here again on the next visit to Paris.

I booked the room online and was pleasantly surprised to find our room on the 5th floor with uninterrupted views of the Eiffel Tower and part of Luxembourg Gardens! We can stand on a balcony and watch the tower in all it's evening splendour! There are numerous bars, cafés and shops nearby, as well as buses at the door and... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
