Clean and comfy hotel located pretty much next to Jardin Luxembourg in the Latin Quarters, 5 minutes walk to the Pantheon. Room was the right size, also had a bathtub. Good comfortable bed with comfy pillows as well, highly recommended.

Spent 5 nights. Very friendly receptionist. The room was bright and comfortable. I of course loved the location, very near Luxembourg park, and the Latin Quarter, and very near the family members I was visiting. I appreciated the fact the hotel was security conscious. Gd WiFi for free. The icing on the cake was free copy of the International New... More

Spent four nights in Elysa. Loved our room, with two large windows and balcony overlooking Guy Lussac. Room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, clean, white cotton duvet covers and nice bathroom. We arrive by train at Gard de L'Est and took the 38 bus and it dropped us off at the corner of St. Michele and Gay Lussac, one... More

The location of the hotel is very good, side by side with the Luxembourg garden. Two minutes from the RER station with connections to both airports and all known places to visit. If you like to walk, 15m from Notre Dame, Seine. The room was small but enough for a nice holidays. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean. Wifi worked fine and... More

The hotel itself is not particularly exceptional but its location is. I needed to catch an early train to CDG airport, plus I wanted to spend the prior day in a beautiful area with wonderful cafes. The hotel was ideally located for both. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is practically on top of the Luxembourg RER station and... More

Very tastefully designed rooms that seem to be renovated not that long ago. Situated very central in the 5th arrondisement next to the lovely Jardin de Luxembourg. A lively area with bistro's and breakfast/lunch placed all around you. For those who enjoy walking, its a mere 20 minutes to St. Micheal and the Seine. For those who wish to save... More

We recently stayed in two rooms on the fourth floor of the Hotel Elysa and while the rooms were tres average, the position of the hotel was perfect. We loved the fact we were able to take the RER train from charles de galle directly to the hotel which is almost directly on top of the luxembourg station. The hotel... More

Very well located. Rooms standard classic, breakfast ++. Price/quality = ok. Hotel is easy reachable from the RER B line at the Luxemburg station in the quartier latin area. Good hotel for a short city break in Paris.

my partner and I just got back from spending Xmas in Paris! Hotel Elysa Luxembourg is a stone throw away from the busy side streets of the Latin quarter, is right opposite the Luxembourg Park, which is breath taking. We stayed in room 505 and outside on the little balcony on our right was the spectacular view of the Eiffel... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
