This hotel suited us perfectly. It is only a two minute walk from the RER train station (line B) Luxembourg. This means traveling anywhere is very easy. It is also a direct train from Charles De Gaulle airport on the RER train. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and of a decent size for Paris.... More

Wonderful hotel in the Latin Quarter, located right next to the Luxembourg gardens, and only a block away from an RER station with direct service to both Gare du Nord and Charles de Gaulle airport. Walking distance to the Pantheon, Sorbonne, Cluny Museum, Luxembourg Gardens, and Notre Dame. The rooms are small, but adequate. We were extremely comfortable in our... More

Stayed at this property for an overnight stay / weekend-get-away and were pretty surprised. Located perfectly with lots of sites within walkin distance and with RER and Bus stops nearby, this is a perfect starting point to discover the city. Close to the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Pantheon is within walking distance. Dinner wise there is plenty to choose... More

Dear Guest, Our hotel is ideally located in a typical district of old Paris, our paved streets, antic houses, momuments... closing your eyes we could imagine seeing a carriage passed. Do not hesitate to ask our staff to help you to discover the unusual paris. It seems that you enjoyed our refined decoration and we are sensible. The breakfast price... More

Spent 5 nights. Very friendly receptionist. The room was bright and comfortable. I of course loved the location, very near Luxembourg park, and the Latin Quarter, and very near the family members I was visiting. I appreciated the fact the hotel was security conscious. Gd WiFi for free. The icing on the cake was free copy of the International New... More

Spent four nights in Elysa. Loved our room, with two large windows and balcony overlooking Guy Lussac. Room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, clean, white cotton duvet covers and nice bathroom. We arrive by train at Gard de L'Est and took the 38 bus and it dropped us off at the corner of St. Michele and Gay Lussac, one... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
