Although the rooms are small they are comfortable with quality bedding and functioning bathrooms. It is nice to have the option of relaxing in comfort around the bar. The breakfast is of a high standard and with good choices. The main advantage of this hotel is the situation in the heart of St. Germain surround by bars and restaurants and... More

What could made a stay in Paris with our dear friends any better -- a lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was on the fourth floor so our window looked over the Paris rooftops -- beautiful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff was delightful and extremely helpful. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

We stayed at the hotel last week while in Paris with our best friends. Both of our rooms were well appointed and very clean. The hotel is located in a great location with exceptional team members. From the warm welcome we received by the valet to the front desk, concierge, room service, and the evening bar service team, everyone was... More

If you are looking to stay in 6th arrondissement, this hotel is in the heart of Saint Germian des pres. The staff is very friendly and helpful, you cross nice crowd, the rooms are very cleans but nothing more. The decor is modern so if you are looking for a frenchy Classic style, it's not the place to be. Overall,... More

Our first trip to Paris and wanted to stay in a small, boutique hotel in the 6th arrondissement. Hotel Bel- Ami was the perfect fit for us. The location was close to some amazing reastaurants as well as shopping and some of the sights. Located on a side street, away from the main roads. Pros: great location to get a... More

Love the location and the fact the staff recognizes me every time I check in. Rooms are smaller - but typical for Paris. On occasion the rooms have had AC issues - which is difficult in the Summer. Overall, I enjoy the hotel and prefer to stay in the Bel Ami whenever I'm in Paris.

This hotel was lovely from start to finish. Staff were warm and friendly and the hotel went out of its way to make our family feel welcome. We were travelling with two small kids (3yrs & 1yr) and to receive that kind of reception in a hip boutique hotel was unexpected. The little welcoming touches delighted the kids, location was... We were Thoroughly pleased by both the location and the level of service at this property. It was a 4 night stay-after spending 7 days in Reims, Alsace and Burgundy (2 of those nights were with our daughter- she is studying in France and joined us in Paris unexpectedly) The hotel was amazingly accommodating- they wanted to "walk" us to... There is nothing fancy about The Hotel Bel-Ami. The rooms are small, well-appointed and the location is absolutely incomparable. The daily breakfast at the lobby restaurant usually included in your room rate will fit any palate; while the cocktail service at the bar will delight even the most picky mixologist. What is most special about the Bel-Ami is the fantastic... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
