The location is fairly peaceful and all interesting places are easy to reach. Rooms are satisfactory spacious. The shower basin is so high that you may hurt youself if you stumble when stepping out. (I did but not badly!) Will probably visit again!

The room was clean, freshly decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our three night stay here. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. Facilities were good including bathroom (in-bath shower not our preference but seems to be standard in most places we stayed - moderate price range). Comprehensive breakfast was served in a splendidly decorated restaurant. The roof-top... More

We stayed 3 nights here with the family (2 adults and 2 children). We booked a family room, which is actually 2 hotel rooms joined together. This room was located on the 8th floor, which is not renovated (yet), as opposed to the first few floors. Therefore the rooms felt a little outdated, but that was OK since we were... More

Just returned yesterday from a four nights stay at this hotel. Our room was a triple which essentially was a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. The room was very nice with comfortable beds & a lovely bathroom with a shower over bath. The breakfast was also very nice with a wide variety to choose from. I have bad... More

Stayed here for a weekend, mainly to attend a concert at the venue across the street. The hotel was in a great location, just 10 minutes walk from Gare du Nord. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets around to get whatever you need. We booked a deluxe room which looked out onto the Main Street. We had two balconies which was... More

Our stay was comfortable and convenient, The service personnel were pleasant and helpful. Excellent location for many of the views of Paris. Moulin Rouge was a quick cab ride as was Musee d`Rodin, Musee D`Orsay, Eifle Tower, etc. (forgive my spelling). Excellent dining in the immediate area.

Went with four friends, excellent location, easy to travel to the centre of Paris. Lovely area to explore. Comfortable room, excellent double glazing that blocks out the outside noisy. Clean, comfortable, well furnished rooms. Roof terrace has wide views across the city. Would definitely stay again. Only down side was the air conditioning was not very effective.

Lovely hotel with a french feel, perfect location between 2 metro stops. Beds were very comfortable & it was lovely to take a little afternoon nap listening to the Parisian life outside with a gentle breeze wafting through the french doors. The pressure in the shower wasn't very strong but did the job. There was air "conditioning" in the room... More

This is branded as a four star hotel, the first impression of the hotel would only give you a three star the most. However, when you spend a little more time on exploring the hotel room, facilities, food quality, and service which definitely meet the standard of a four star hotel Hotel room- decent size with all needed amenities. Our... More

Just spent 2 nights at the Carlton and enjoyed everything about this place. Friendly reception on arrival and a lovely room (306) with windows to front and side, withacomf bed and spacious en suite. Cannot fault the breakfast, its a little different from a full English but hey this is Paris. Still managed to get scrambled egg, sausages and beans.... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
