Booked up for long weekend in Paris with my wife based around seeing some bands at La Cigalle. The hotel is right over the road and the hotel location was great for that specific event. For the rest of Paris the hotel was 5mins walk from La Pigalle metro stop which easily gets you into the centre of Paris. Equally... More

The room was very nice although the shower was useless, there was nothing to do but hold it and try and shower yourself because the holder was impossible. We were right on the corner of the hotel with two double doors facing the road and surprisingly you couldn't here a thing with the doors properly shut which meant a good... More

Cliffs: paper thin walls mean sleepless nights Staff are rude and unhelpful Credit cards are declined, only debit cards accepted on checkout Full review; Our initial impression of this hotel was excellent. Stepping off the metro at moulin rouge, and walking up the street as our first taste of paris was excellent. The reception is attractive and well kept and... More

We are an elderly couple who decided to spend our new year celebrations in Paris. We had a ball! We opted to stay in the Hotel Carlton near Montmarte and we were delighted with the service received. Clean room, excellent valeting and helpful staff. The Hotel location was excellent for touristy visitors as there is a Bus & underground rail... More

The rooms are clean and the breakfast was excellent. It is on a main street and parking is sometimes a challenge , however all the attractions like the Sacre Coeur are within walking distance. The famous SYMPA shops are also on the same street where you can get famous branded clothing at drastically reduced prices...Definitely the place to stay if... More

This is very belated as I stayed here back in July. Love love loved the staff, great location, and stunning roof top view. Room was clean and nice, fairly large by European hotel standards. Easy to walk to many locations, metro right out front. The lift to get to the rood top is tiny but worth the scary ride. They... More

Staff friendly and discreet. Easy to reach by subway. Great breakfast. Very close to Montmatre and the Sacre Coeur. Prices not high. Clean and well heated. Check-in and check-out fast. Great view from the hotel room.

We're a family of 2 adults with 2 kids, and we needed a family room to stay in Paris for 2 nights. The price for this 4 (?)-stars hotel was very good, and since I've been to Paris dozens of time, I also knew that the location was quite good, below Montmartre, next to Pigalle, and above the Grand Boulevards... The hotel is in Pigalle and very close to Montmatre and the Sacre Coeur. About a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord Breakfast was basic, but a good choice and quality. The room was on a par with a Travelodge in the UK, not sure how 4 stars were achieved. The restaurant is fascinating, very Art Deco and ornate.... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
