Just spent 2 nights at the Carlton and enjoyed everything about this place. Friendly reception on arrival and a lovely room (306) with windows to front and side, withacomf bed and spacious en suite. Cannot fault the breakfast, its a little different from a full English but hey this is Paris. Still managed to get scrambled egg, sausages and beans.... More

The location is good but as per my experience i would not give more than 2 stars to this hotel. We booked a double room and got twin beds. Asking for a change we have been simply asked to try and check the following day. The entrance and lobby are far worse then a holiday in and the forniture in... More

For being Paris, this hotel is very good value. For being Paris, their breakfast is really nice. The only downside is the WiFi that really doesn't work. The hotel is located right in the heart of Montmartre and you can actually walk almost anywhere - we took the train to Gare du Nord and walked to the hotel from there.... More

This was a very nice hotel in nice area. Only 200 meter to Metro and a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Breakfast good compared to average hotels in France. Montmare are the best area in Paris. Will stay there next time in Paris

We stayed here for 3 nights with a group of 7 people. We liked the location , the 2 closest metro stops are just minutes of walk away. We could see Sacre Coeur from our windows and the rooftop gives a great 360 Degree view of the whole city. The Rooms were small , but clean. We were lucky and... More

Booked up for long weekend in Paris with my wife based around seeing some bands at La Cigalle. The hotel is right over the road and the hotel location was great for that specific event. For the rest of Paris the hotel was 5mins walk from La Pigalle metro stop which easily gets you into the centre of Paris. Equally... More

The room was very nice although the shower was useless, there was nothing to do but hold it and try and shower yourself because the holder was impossible. We were right on the corner of the hotel with two double doors facing the road and surprisingly you couldn't here a thing with the doors properly shut which meant a good... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
