Stayed in room 40 (an inward facing classic double room) for two relaxing nights. The hotel staff were very polite and welcoming on arrival. The room itself was well presented, and well equipped. Two quibbles: (1) There was mould on the floor at the entrance to the bathroom (so I've marked it down for cleaniness), and (2) there was cello-tape... More

During my flash trip to Paris I loved staying at the stylish and newly renovated Hotel Balmoral. It is a unique little gem, hidden in the shadow of the Arc de Triomphe and not to forget just a short distance from the shopping heaven on the Champs Elysees. Beside its fantastic central location, the hotel itself also gave me an... More

The Balmoral remains a dependable, comfortable smaller hotel in the heart of Paris, on a quiet side street right beside the Arc de Triomphe (200 metres from where the Air France airport buses stop). The Champs Elysees are a 5 minutes walk. Following its 2014 renovation, the rooms are now of a high standard. The staff are as charming and... More

Stayed 5 nights at the end of October 2014. Great location particularly if you are not afraid of catching trains in a new city. Fantastic to walk around the corner and see the Arc de triomphe close up. Room was a good size and the bathroom was great particularly after England where you need to be a contortionist to get... Stayed here for four nights in September 2014. The location was fantastic and the customer service was superb! The room was small, but not too claustrophobic. The room was clean, decorated modernly and had the basic amenities you needed. The bed was comfortable. Would return again. *The only issue I had with the room (7) was that there was no... More

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th-century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
