The hotel is in a very good location, with many restaurants around, a short walk to the river Seine and the attractions that surround it. The room we stayed in was basic, as was the bathroom, however it was always warm and was relatively comfortable. There was a television, a safe (which you could use for free) and a kettle... More

The hotel is excellently located, just a short walk to the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, St Michel and in fact the majority of central Paris. When we went to Le Marais, Louvre, Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower, we walked from the hotel. I admit that it was considerable walk to some of the further locations, but we enjoy walking to... This hotel is well located with good accessibility to metros, buses, walk to Seine, Rue Mouffetarde with its restaurants and markets, and to St Germain des Pres. It is comfortable and quiet, with pleasant, practical staff. There is a little refrigerator in the room which is good if you are there for a few days.

Very well position for Notre Dame and surrounding area - all in walking distance. It has very little else to offer. The room was small but sufficed for a single night in transit. In my estimate it ranks as a budget buy.

We liked this charming hotel, hidden in a small street with its windows decorated with red flowers. Hotel Vendome Saint Germain is greatly located, very close to metro, cafes, restaurants and bakery and shops, just a 7-min walk to Notre-Dame de Paris. The neighbourhood is nice, very pleasant ambience for walking tours in the center of Paris. Hotel is nice.... More

We stayed here for two nights mid-week in August, our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the street. The bedroom and bathroom was clean, tidy and was everything expected for the price and star rating. Street noise was high when the window was left open (1st night mistake!) but noise was minimal when closed. The room had an upright... More

We've stayed in this hotel while visiting Paris. Close to the Notredame and walking distance to all amienities. The rooms are small but clean (the cleaner was every day). Breakfast eventhough poor (crossaints, baguette to choose, cheese, honey etc) was good and worth the price. Reception helpful. I can reccomend this hotel and would stay here if visiting Paris in... We arranged a family surprise trip for my son and daughter in law and 3 teenage grandchildren to Paris for a couple of days, so needed to do this on a budget! We alway prefer to stay in the Latin Quarter because of its convenient location, ambience, and choice of good value for money restaurants. This was our first time... More

Worked well for us for 2 nights. We had a small room, nothing special but neat and clean. Location was perfect, easy to get back even at midnight. Notre Dame is 5 mins. Pantheon even less. Great punlic transport connections. Friendly staff, good memories.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
