I booked 2 rooms at this hotel as part of a trip to Paris with friends. It happened to be the hottest week of the summer with a sudden heatwave that no-one was prepared for! The hotel is not air conditioned but neither is the rest of Paris, which came as a complete surprise to our Californian friends who couldn't... More

The only really good things to say about this hotel are the price and the location - which are both great. The hotel is situated in the 9th arr., close to the 2nd. It is within a walking distance to EVERYTHING interesting - Montmatre, Marais, Louvre and The Latin Quarter. The area itself is quite good too, with a lot... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights , we knew it isnt a luxury hotel but we thought that at least the bed it would be comfort. The reception didnt speak english , she was an old lady , she made 10 minutes to find our reservetation ,she gave us our room in third floor , it was an... More

I booked this room as part of a deal with Eurostar for a 4 night trip to Paris. This hotel is very basic. A good bed, a nice shower. Pretty much all we needed as we knew we would be out exploring all the time. A small breakfast room is at the back of reception and there is a vending... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, starting from the 19th of November, until the 22nd. The fact of the matter is that when you are booking online via Eurostar, they showed hotels with breakfast included. As me and my partner arrived on the 19th for the check-in, we were only told the times the breakfast would be from. Not the price... More

The lobby was so dirty that I didn't even stay long enough to see the room. I don't know how old those pictures are on line but the lobby looked nothing like that! The fish tank had 2-3 inches of green water in it. If there were any fish in there, we couldn't see them. Scary experience. I stayed long... More

Stayed here for three nights at the end of June and was fairly disappointed. The rate was fairly reasonable for Paris, and I can understand the room being a bit small, but it was extremely dirty. Walking on the floor in bare feet or socks left the bottom of my feet covered in dirt. Also the towels in the bathroom... More

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room, although funnily shaped, was very clean and pleasant to be in (also very quiet at night) . We did not take breakfast as we thought it was overpriced; there were plenty of cafes nearby though where we easily could grab something to eat in the morning. Staff spoke English and was... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
