5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

We travelled to Paris for the first time in July 2014 and were delighted with our stay at Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera. The desk staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and very graciously spoke English to us given our limited skills in French. Previous reviews have indicated that the lift was small (it was)... More

One of the deciding factor for picking this hotel was the lift amenity for I am pregnant and we have elderly parents traveling with us. Upon arrival, to my horror I was given a room on the 7th floor of which I need to access via spiral narrow staircase from 6th floor. A request for change was turned down as... More

The hotel it's self is a classic Parisian landmark, steps away from the actual louvre and across the street from several great cafés and bars. A block away from amazing shopping and walking distance from the Famous tower and Notre dame. The restaurant is quite good for breakfast and the bar is always busy. I loved the rooms, very cozy... We mainly chose this hotel because of its location. It's near everything - The Louvre, shopping, restaurants, and other sightseeing in Paris. We walked to everything! We were given a room at the top floor (floor 7), with a great view over Paris and to Sacre Cæur. A pleasant surprise! A bit small room, but very clean and it is... More

We stayed for 5 nights and couldn't say more about this hotel. The room was clean, the location was perfect for walking centrally in Paris both day & night, and was very close to metro lines. It was easy to take a short siesta in the afternoon while still being able to get to another part of the city for... More

We spent two nights this May 2014 and were very pleased with our stay. Room was small and had a view on a wall but it was convinient for us as we are late sleepers and it was very quiet. It was very clean even if the decor is outdated. Soft feather pillows and smooth bed. Great location, amazing boulangerie... More

I stayed here with myself and two other friends, and we really enjoyed the stay! The room was a little small, however most hotels are like that in Europe. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, and since none of us spoke French very well, that makes a huge difference! It's a fantastic location, within walking distance to major sites... More

The staff was wonderful and helped to make our stay in Paris a terrific one. Recommended excellent restaurants, helped us find certain locations and were generally stellar! Hotel was immaculate and it's in a convenient, walkable to everywhere location. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Very well located hotel, near all the department stores, not far from the Louvre,...Metro station nearby, lots of restaurants around. Very good service, very friendly staff. Rooms are fine (different sizes of course depending on your budget). Nice breakfast. And the price is really good to be really in the heart of Paris.

I stayed at Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera for a weekend and had great time. I always look for a hotel that is placed close to the Opera and this one suits perfectly, having that it is located just 50m from Avenue de l'Opera. The neighbourhood itself is very much calm and there is not much traffic in front of the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
