I stayed at this hotel this Bastille Day weekend, I had booked about 6 months ago and when I checked on Tripadvisor a couple of weeks ago I was worried. To be honest, I dont really know what people were moaning about, yes it's not 5 star, it could do with a bit of love and attention but quite frankly... More

The place is close to the Voltaire Metro station, and the taxi stand on Place Voltaire. Rooms are small and smelly. Linen is stained and there cigarette burn holes in the sheets and pillow cases. The bathrooms are a shoddy retrofit, barely workable. Only small hand towels are provided, no bath towels. No lift, only a small spiral staircase to... More

Good area, nice staff and almost everything clean, with wifi and private bathroom. I found the room nice and clean, but the only thing that really I couldn't handle was the bed sheets which seemed to be old/dirty from heavy use.. ended up sleeping dressed in the top of them lol BUt it's in a good location with nice staff.

It is in a nice neighborhood, near to Bastille and Metro Voltaire. The hotel itself is old-fashioned seedy, like a period setting in a movie from the 1950s or 60s. If you want modern amenities, keep looking.

First off you have to put this hotel into context. Paris is in my opinion one of the worst cities in the world for hotels. The demand from visitors and limitations on supply mean they are all grossly over-priced. So comparatively the room here which for 55 Euros offered a (small) double bed, a TV and a bathroom looked poor... More

Got a room on the fifth floor to later discover there is no elevator! Only room left and already paid so started climbing... Room is simple, especially the bathroom which is right next to the bed and is a combination of shower/sink/toilet in 1.5m². No shower curtain. Difficult to organise your stuff on the sink. Wifi was not working properly... More

I recently stayed at the Hotel Anya and although basic (quite frankly, given the very good price it is what I expected) the staff were lovely and welcoming. The hotel and my room were thoroughly cleaned and the location is excellent. The Bastille area has a neighbourhood feel and is littered with cafes, small supermarkets, pharmacies, post office etc and... More

This is a perfect example of the hotel to go for if you are looking for something cheap, well located, friendly and safe. Pretty much everything a young traveler is looking for... oh and WiFi!! I will go back to Paris and without a doubt I will be staying in this hotel again. Staff is really attentive and truly caring.... More

I am surprised at all the negative reviews of this little hotel. If you want a 5 star experience, you have to pay for it! I stayed here for 4 nights in March. The front desk ladies were lovely, friendly, and helpful. The cleaning lady was also very kind and even offered to assist me with my bags. The room... More

The lady at the desk and the cleaning lady were exceptionally kind. The property is close to a metro. It was great for a one night trip, solo. It is the bare necessities. Shower is the bathroom (no curtain or separator from toilet) but it is better than sharing one down a hall. Adequate space and clean enough. The windows... More
