Very very cold in winter. The heating worked, however the windows are old and the wind comes right through them. The air was sooo freezing at night that both me and my husband left with cold. The location is good, only 2min from the station and Moulin Rouge. However what you see in the pictures is not what you will... More

First of all - not at all how it looks on the pictures they provided on booking.com.Not even close. Small half dark reception. The elevator could squeeze one person and a child and maybe a small bag.Scary.The room, exactly, room no.35,so small, narrow, even though 3 beds in it, curtains filthy with smears, walls also, with damp taps, also yellow),beds and bathrooms as something I wouldn't like to... It is a very typical hotel. It is what it is expected of a hotel in Paris at the price range. The personnel was, on the other hand, a lot more that what was expected, always trying to serve and very polite. Breakfast is very good. Location is great if your moving on the "Metro", might no be so if... More

All good here. Absolutely you get what you pay for but this place was better than expected. Friendly English-speaking staff at the desk at all times. Better than satisfactory breakfast - dining area a bit cramped at times, but three hours available. Our room was reasonable but the location fabulous. So all-in-all would definitely stay again.

Okay so here's my review divided into pros and cons: PROS: -Breakfast bread was fresh -Front desk staff was lovely CONS: -Cleaning/breakfast staff was pissy -Elevator was tiny and scary. Only fits one person and a bag or just a single person if you're my size. -Elevator doesn't tell you what floor it's on or has any indication of its... More

Nothing encouraged using the stairs like an elevator that fits one person and one bag as well it was slow and sketchy. Nothing encourages the elevator like crappy stairs as for the buffet there was warm milk and cressants the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were small if I were to fix the problems I would start with fixing... This is a very nice Hotel and worked out well for our family. It is true that the rooms are small. If you wish to spend a lot of time in your Hotel room this might put you off; the bathrooms also, especially the shower areas, are quite small in some rooms. We only used the Hotel to sleep in,... We arrived at this hotel with some trepidation having read the previous reviews. We arrived very early and immediately the reception offered to take our cases whilst we went out. When we got to the room it was very small, but the bed was extremely comfortable (we like hard beds) and the bathroom was adequate. Breakfast was a great start... More

I was in Paris for a short girls weekend and we loved our stay here. The location was great for navigating the city - really close to 2 Metro stops and the main drag of Pigalle. Montmartre is just a short walk away. There were lots of restaurants and clubs, really active after dark. We has great service, everyone at... More

This was our first trip to Paris, and we were SOOO disappointed with the appearance of the hotel. Very poorly maintained, smelly, room very, very small, linen disgusting. Walls and furniture need painting job. We didn't unpack our bags, we just left. We were sorry we didn't take any pictures of the room to share with other travelers.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
