Best breakfast I have ever had at a hostel. Staff was very friendly, Amar at the front desk helped us multiple times as did the other desk attendants. The building was beautiful and clean. Great location, close to restaurants and shops as well as metro and busses.

My time in Bvj Opera was really good, the staff is really friendly also they help friend and she was in another property, the place is beautiful, the breakfast is included, and the location is excellent, if you love walk like me, for example the opera Garnier is about 10 min walking, if you don't like walking, the property is... At the beginning, we went to the other BVJ hostel, unfortunately the rooms there are all full. However, fortunately we met the manager of BVJ Opera, Mr. Hamid, who brought us to BVJ Opera, which still had empty beds. Mr. Hamid is so nice a gentleman who talked to us about the streets and how to recognize the landmark for... More

I have stayed at both BVJ Opera and BVJ Louvre extensively and a little at BVJ Champs Elysses in 2013, 2014, and 2015 on my travels in France. All three locations are in typical Parisian/French neighborhoods with excellent Bistros and cafés and are within walking distance of historic sights. What I really liked was the buildings have a certain character... More

Good prices, calme neighbourhood central in Paris, what more can you wish for? You may wish for nice and polite employees, people who help you to organize your stay, and answers questions before arrival, good breakfast. This hostel has it all. Absolutely recommendable!

Very well located (walking distances to subway, coffee places), the rooms are basic but it's a good quality price ratio. The atmosphere is quiet there (the common area are not designed in a way you get very social) but if you stay in dormitory, you get to meet nice people. Incl. breakast. Although very early, it is quite good for... More

The location was amazing and the building was historical and beautiful. The room was big and clean but the washrooms/showers weren't great --small and could definitely use an update. The most annoying part would probably be paying for WIFI in an age where everywhere has free WIFI; but realistically no one comes to Paris to sit in their hostel on... More

Near a metro stop; breakfast was good. Reasonably priced considering its walking distance to popular attractions like Sacre Cœur and Moulin Rouge. The water in the shower was a bit weak, but enough to get you washed. The lady who checked me in was friendly.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
