Clean, room is small but bigger than most other hotel in Paris for this category, wi-fi is bothersome because you have to re-enter the password every 15 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location close to the Parthenon and Giardin du Luxemburg, 15 minutes walking from Notre Dame/conciergerie. There are metro and bus stations nearby so it's practical for tourists.... More

Paris is a very nice city, but the hotels aren't! First the hotel was without internet for 2 days, them the TV wasn't working, the bath run wasn't clean (very nasty...). Maybe it wasn't a good day for the hotel but... not good memories. The service was OK and the place was the best thing of all. The price was... More

We were in Paris for a second time and wanted to stay in a different area. It was Paris Fashion Week and options were limited so we Price Line our hotel in the St Germain area and were given this hotel. It was listed as St Germain but it's not. Hotel is spacious for Paris standards and staff are friendly... More

We stayed here for a two night stay in early October. The hotel is very convenient to the RER and Metro, which made for an easy arrival from the airport and for easy accessibility to the major sites (1 RER stop to Notre Dame and 10 minute metro to Eiffel Tower). Although not immediately near the monuments, we found some... More

A typical cheaper-end Paris Hotel. Rather dull, tired decor, always acceptable in Paris for some reason. The staff made no effort to engage or make us feel welcome. We spent hardly any time in the hotel, it was simply a base to discover Montparnasse. Having visited Paris many times it was great to experience the fantastic restaurants and culture of... More

Dear Customer, We sincerely regret you didn't like staying in the hotel during your stay in Paris but are happy you enjoyed walking around the Montparnasse area. Hotel makes every year investment to improve its furnitures like matress, beds and we frequently make some renovation in bathrooms and regularly change carpets in rooms and paintings fequently.. Hotel staffs working in... More

I spent an entire day pouring over hotel reviews on this site. I chose this hotel because of the reviews, yet I was quite disappointed - contrary to other reviews, I did not think the location was close to any major tourist spot. Hard bed, tiniest elevator...ever! (2'x3') Peeling paint, dirty walls. Reception personnel ran hot and cold - no... More

The rooms in this hotel are good by Parisian standards - fairly large with a nice bathroom. The concierge is too busy to help you. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Luxembourg Gardens and about 30 minutes from Notre Dame. It is within walking distance of two fabulous restaurants that we really enjoyed: "La Fontaine de Mars"... More

We received a lovely, informative welcome. Our room was the large double which had a great bathroom. The room overlooked the street at the rear of the hotel. Parisian noises drifted in through the double windows. We were grateful of these as it was very hot in the city that particular week. Our only irritation was the noises from the... More

Me and my boyfriend went to Paris for 3 nights and 4 days as our first holiday together. We made an excellent choice by booking the Hotel Novanox via Expedia. It was reasonably priced and we got what we paid for as the room was fairly small but the facilities were amazing - perfectly working shower, comfortable bed etc. It... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
