Just got back from a one-night stay at the Abricotel in Paris. If you are fond of hotels miles away from the city centre, strangely painted dingy rooms and en-suites with mould on the ceiling, then this is the place for you. My colleague's mattress had blood on it, and inexplicably, the corridors had vacuums in the middle of them.... more

We never paid very much for our hotel ... we only really needed a place to sleep because we knew we would be out around paris sight seeing for most of our trip. we were expecting a grubby little place because it was so cheap but we were totally wrong the abricotel was really good value for money it was... more

I spent 3 days at the Abricotel, and it was completely satisfying. The room I was in was surprisingly large compared to other French hotels. The room was clean, there was a TV, a big bathroom, and they gave free shampoo, shower gel, soap, and even a shoe polisher(!) every day. Breakfast was not included in the room price however.... more

The hotel is located in a not so nice area of Paris. It's grubby smelly and noisey. Our room was small (you had to walk on the bed to get to the window). Do not go to this hotel/hostel. The service was horrible, staff snapping at guests. And the absolute worse was the bed bugs! We had brought our own sheets, but needed up getting bitten by bugs from the mattress/bed. It was a nightmare. You have to throw all your clothes out and see a doctor, because they are not your usual... more

Grubby hotel with tiny rooms with very little storage space (one 2ft hanging rail). Minute bathroom with very bad smell. Chain smoking 24hr reception, paper thin walls. Situated on a very busy main road in a grimey area. Most sites advertise parking with the hotel, which means parking 3km away if you pay and there's a space. more
