Nice hotel. Fantastic location. Kind and pleasant staff. Just across the street of Raspail Metro Station. Meaning: direct connection to Les Halles, Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord. Room a bit old-fashioned, but clean, functional, large enough for disposing of your luggage. And most important for this season: really warm and cosy; bathroom included. (My first warm hotel bathroom... More

It was my first trip to Paris, Dec 22-26, 2014. The location is perfect, for public transport and walking. Note that there are catacombs and a viewpoint tower nearby. There are no decent grocery stores nearby, few cafes. Metro station entrance is across the street to the right. The staff was very friendly, helpful. The lobby was lovely decorated and... More

The hotel and hotel room were very small but nice and cosy. Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Great location for the metro and within walking distance of the Montparnasse Tower which has a must visit Observation Deck. Would go back. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

I stayed in this hotel for several nights to celebrate the New Year's Eve in Paris. And I loved the place. The rooms are renovated (which is a good news, if you happen to read some of the reviews from several years back). Bathrooms are clean and pleasantly furnished, and so are the rooms. You can tell this is a... More

This hotel is a short walk from the cafe district of Montparnasse. Our room was excellent with a great shower and the staff spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. The Jockey restaurant at street level is not part of the hotel but very good with extremely efficient and charming staff.

Nice small hotel, good service, good location. It is close to a couple of metro stops, RER and the Catacombes. Lots of cafes and bars, several grocery shops if you need to pick up the essentials. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive and tried to personalize their service to us. The room was large and comfortable. We had breakfast once at the hotel and I would recommend the getting breakfast there. The dining room is elegant and the waiters were quick and efficient.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
