We had a brief stay in Paris and chose this hotel in part due to its relative proximity to the RER line and in part because it could accommodate our family of three. I'm so glad that we found this gem and look forward to the next return. Get the breakfast - it's just fanatastic.

I stayed at this hotel for a week while attending an academic conference. It is a beautiful, small hotel, decorated in a lovely fashion with nice amenities. Incredible location, close to the metro, RER, train station. The front desk recommended Le Petit Duc restaurant down the street. The salad and burgers were wonderful. My party discovered Dorr Restaurant on the... More

I highly recommend this hotel. We tried it based on good reviews and now we are adding to them. Loved the front desk staff, location adjacent to a metro stop, and neighborhood. Bed was really comfortable and great shower.

I stayed at this hotel for a week while on business. It is a lovely hotel, nicely decorated with very good amenities. Fantastic location, close to the metro, RER, train station, restaurants, shops, sights, etc. Staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant accommodated my dietary restrictions, always having soya milk and gluten free... More

Stayed here on business. Chosen for closeness to work area and other amenities and was not disappointed. Very modern, and clean. Great products in bathroom (Nuxe) and powerful shower. Great service at breakfast, only issue is the lift that's really tiny - but I suspect that's more to do with the infrastructure of Paris (old buildings etc) rather than choice... More

Lovely hotel, helpful staff, very comfortable room (size as expected for Paris). Great location for metro/RER and Montparnasse area. Bathroom decor a little dated and although I had a bath tub it meant having to sit in the bath to use the shower attachment! Wifi signal was poor.

I would not consider staying anywhere else in Paris, where I am often for work - as a journalist. L'Aiglon is quite simply the best the hotel in the French capital - very comfortable, efficient, but above all courteous and totally unpretentious. A very special place to which I always look forward to returning. Ed Vulliamy, The Observer, The Guardian,... More

This hotel is a real hidden gem! It's location is perfect, it's 20 meters away from a metro station through which the main metro lines (4 and 6) run, we barely had to switch at other stations. The room was really clean and very pretty. We asked for a bath instead of a shower, and our wish was granted. As... More

The room we got was very comfortable and large. I appreciated in particular the bathroom and the quality of the bed. This hotel offers very good value for money and is located near good restaurants and transportation (Montparnasse, Denfert-Rochereau...).

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
