I've stayed here twice -- each time for one night on a weekend by myself before a work trip. This hotel is a 20-minute walk from Gare du Nord which is how I get here from CDG after riding RER into town. Small but efficient and comfortable room. Excellent beautiful breakfast room -- much nicer than the basement 'caves' most... More

This was our first trip to Paris and stayed just over a week. Selecting a hotel was a bit of a challenge because we were not familiar with the various neighborhoods. Thankfully we chose Hotel Peyris Opera! Simply an outstanding visit. The neighborhood was comfortable and we (three women) always felt comfortable walking around. The hotel is close to Metro... Just returned from a very nice visit to Paris & a stay at the Peyris Opera. We found the hotel to be very clean & comfortable. We were placed in adjoining rooms with small balconies. The bathrooms are very much 'compact' ;-) but the rooms themselves were fine. Decor is quite quirky but we liked it. Reception staff are very... More

The hotel we visited was the best part of our stay. Alexandre in reception was the most helpful person we met in Paris, and was more than willing to assist us in everything we needed. We didn't realize the plugs were different and they allowed us to charge our phones on their computer; and were just so helpful. I would... More

We loved our stay here. We had the quad room and, though it was small, it met all our needs. Beautiful balcony views and Paris streets. Everything was very clean. Staff was nice and even accommodated our need to eat breakfast before open hours one morning. And the breakfasts were great and a wonderful way to start our days.

Easy to get to from Gare de Nord if you are travelling by Eurostar. Lots of reviews talk about the modern design & colours of the rooms and the small lift neither of which was a problem for us. Our room for 3 including teenage daughter was fine & really quiet considering the location Bathroom could have been a bit... More

Dear traveler, We thank you for your nice comment and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Christian appreciated to be mentioned. Several room types are available with the same equipment and amenities, the difference is the size. Traveling on the river Seine, is indeed a good way to discover Paris. Best regards More

Highly unusual decor of bold black, white and bright colors in this small hotel. Rooms are tiny but comfortable, though large people might find the toilet a tight squeeze! :) Reception staff were good to deal with mostly - especially Alex who was always helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is worth it and better than standard with the addition of fruit... More

Our room was reasonable with basic amenities. Lift so small only one person plus baggage could fit. Staff were polite. Location is good for nearby restaurants and short walk to hop on hop off bus stop. No hot food for breakfast but continental breakfast provided ok.

The Hotel is in a good location to experience true Paris life and has plenty of nearby bars and restaurants used by locals. You get what you pay for and we had a small rather claustrophic room up 4 flights of stairs. It was warm and stuffy as the AC was not on and there was no control for the... More

Fairly spacious, modern room in a good neighborhood. View from 5th floor was nice. Breakfast has varied options, but no warm food and meat and cheeses are processed. Overall pretty happy. Room design was cool, and downstairs lobby had a nice classic Paris feel. Internet was spotty downstairs.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
