We reserved a three person room for a week on June/July when it was so hot in Paris that people were actually dying. There is no air conditioner in the room but we brought our own which proved to be a very wise move. As rooms usually in Paris, even without the A/C nor refrigerator, this one was also quite... More

This may have been the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The door to the room and to the bathroom cleared the bed by mere inches. The elevator was broken so we had to walk to the 4th floor (not a big deal for us but some people would not like it). That said we were received by a... More

The location was good. Walking distance to most places, restaurants, viewing points, metro etc. Staff was nice and helpful. We stayed at the top floor and the elevator broke the first day of our stay. The personal did not fix it under our stay, which was a little bit negative. But to sum it up, the hotel is a good... Lovely staff, we arrived late and they waited at the cafe on the corner to let us in. The hotel is a 15 minute, down hill, walk from Gare d' Nord or 5 minutes from Bonne Nouvelle. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and a Carrefour City on Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle.

This is a great little affordable hotel in the heart of Paris. The location is fantastic as it is only a 10min walk from Gare du Nord. Our room was very comfortable albeit small, the beds were nice and despite being there at the weekend we didn't get disturbed by too much noise. I would definitely go back.

This is a good 2 stars hotel not far from gare du nord. It's located on Opera neighbourhood. From there you can go walking to many touristic spots or get the metro to reach any part of the city. Rooms are not so small as you can see in some other parisians hotels. Everything was clean though the rooms seems... More

We had a quiet courtyard facing room, which was very much appreciated. We got in at around 8pm so we had to ring for service but our key was left in our room for us. The first night the handle of the window broke, but a gentleman came in right away to fix it. The room looked quite clean and... More

As with most Paris hotels, this one is seriously overpriced. Apparently because it is Paris travellers are willing to pay a hefty price. You do get a fairly sized room and bathroom, but without any frills, although they have free WiFi (but then again, who doesn't in 2014?). The location is good, though. Lively neighbourhood with many places to eat... More

Stayed there for 4 nights while in paris. Amazing, reasonable prices for Paris and for being so central to paris. The tram stop is a close walk and the paris tram system is fabulous (my favourite!). The staff were very helpful and friendly, and either spoke English (or attempted to understand my very very limited French). The room was very... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
