My husband and I found The Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera via tripadvisor and were happy with our stay overall. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons we experienced while staying here for 3 days on our honeymoon: PRO'S - Reasonably priced, we booked through venere.com for a rate of ~75 euros/night (when we walked around we went into several... more

My friend and I wanted a cheap base for three nights. This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. It is well located with metro, supermarkets, cafes and bars nearby. It was clean with good friendly service. Our room looked onto the street but we weren't troubled by noise. The bathroom was small but adequate and soap and shower... more

Choosing a hotel in Paris can be a bit of a nightmare. There are thousands of different establishments and with no prior knowledge of the city, I turned to trip advisor before booking. The Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera was the highest rated hotel within our budget and so we decided to stay here. The hotel is very basic, certainly has... more

One of the cheapest places we could find to stay, good location, easy to get around with the metro close by. Supermarkets and affordable eating spots nearby. Everything was clean, the room was good but the housekeeper was particularly annoying. She would knock once then enter, if you're asleep you won't hear the knock! Just lock your door, problem solved.... more

The rooms are old but clean and maintained the elevator fits 2 people or 1 person and 1 suitcase There are five floors - a family on the 5th floor - be advised The staff was fine and courteous Breakfast is expensive - Other alternatives within walking distance Realtively close to the Voltaire metro but its 15 minutes to the... more

My husband & I went to Paris for our wedding anniversary and stayed at this hotel from 17th - 20th September 2008. We found the staff helpful and pleasant. Room was small but had everything we needed, it was also spotlessly clean and we didn't go to stay in the room all day anyway. Very good location with convenient access... more

The hotel was a bit far away and had to take the Metro to see anything, however I was wrongly advised by Travel Agent and with it being my first time in Paris I thought I was going to Opera House end, not staying in a hotel called Opera. However the hotel was just a resting place, so it didnt... more

I was looking for a "clean" and cheap hotel in Paris just for sightseing 4 days and the hotel was exactly what I expected after reading some reviews here. The first thing I was looking for was a clean hotel at a reasonable price. I wasn't looking for anything luxurious but functional and I have no complains at all. The... more

stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my boyfriend. the rooms were very clean and comfortable, small but not too small for a short break, ideal for a young couple wanting to just do the sight seeing in the day and out for a meal and a drink at night, as lots and lots of bars and restaurants very... more

Great Hotel close to the Voltaire's metro station. Rooms are pretty clean but a bit small. The Staff talk in a good English. Near the hotel you can find a lot of cafè and a Supermarket (Monoprix) open Mon-Sat 9-22 ;-) more
