I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here while visiting with a group from my sixth form. The staff were helpful, I had a lovely view from my room and the location was quite lovely! As others have mentioned, the walls are rather thin but that is not an issue for me personally. While staying in a city I do... More

If all you need a room for is to sleep and you can sleep with earplugs, then this might work for you. The elevator is tiny...big enough for one person with suitcases. Hallways are only slightly larger, making it a little difficult to pull suitcases to rooms. Rooms are small and need renovation. Walls are so thin we could hear... More

In sum, it was pretty good. But I am inclined to write this review, as I am both angry and disgusted at what happened with the housekeeping. I went with a group of 29 from my University. It's a tiny little hotel, in a good area of the city. Lots of amenities close by; including the metro station. That was... More

Good location (close to Ledru Rollin, Voltaire and Bastille station). Small bedroom but very comfortable bed. Courteous staff. Cleanliness on bathroom was not good on the first day. Payed service to go to airport.

My wife and I stayed here this weekend. We try and stay in different areas each time we visit Paris which is usually several times a year. This time we chose this hotel. On arrival at the hotel check in time was from 1400. We arrived at 13:50 . We were greeted by a very grumpy man in the reception... More

The hotel is located near the Bastille area which is very alive at night with many restaurants and bar. Voltaire metro station is less than 5 min walking with easy connections to all the important places in the City and near the hotel you have 3 supermarkets reachable by foot.. Hotel good, room a little small but this is case... More

This hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. There isn't a bar in the hotel, which was disappointing, but there are some close by. The breakfast room is small and breakfast is typical of a small French hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room cleaned every day... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
