In sum, it was pretty good. But I am inclined to write this review, as I am both angry and disgusted at what happened with the housekeeping. I went with a group of 29 from my University. It's a tiny little hotel, in a good area of the city. Lots of amenities close by; including the metro station. That was... More

Good location (close to Ledru Rollin, Voltaire and Bastille station). Small bedroom but very comfortable bed. Courteous staff. Cleanliness on bathroom was not good on the first day. Payed service to go to airport.

My wife and I stayed here this weekend. We try and stay in different areas each time we visit Paris which is usually several times a year. This time we chose this hotel. On arrival at the hotel check in time was from 1400. We arrived at 13:50 . We were greeted by a very grumpy man in the reception... More

The hotel is located near the Bastille area which is very alive at night with many restaurants and bar. Voltaire metro station is less than 5 min walking with easy connections to all the important places in the City and near the hotel you have 3 supermarkets reachable by foot.. Hotel good, room a little small but this is case... More

This hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. There isn't a bar in the hotel, which was disappointing, but there are some close by. The breakfast room is small and breakfast is typical of a small French hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room cleaned every day... More

This hotel is supposed to be a 3 star hotel but I would give it 1 1/2 stars. The room I stayed in was tiny. The walls were basically bare, and the bathroom was tiny. The towels were different colors, some white some blue. It was 80 degrees during my visit and the room didn't have air conditioning and because... More

This was our 6th visit to Paris and our first and last time to stay at this hotel. The location was good enough, pretty close to the Metro and a bus stop outside the door. The hotel staff had the personality of wet fish, which was no personality especially one guy in his 30's or early 40's who belonged in... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
