We just got home from a 3 night stay at this lovely little hotel. I always try to to book a hotel that feels and looks like the city I'm staying and this little gem was perfect! It was quiet, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The breakfast, a typically Parisian, consisted of delicious flaky croissants, assorted pastries, hardboiled eggs, yogurts, coffee... More

I looked a long time to find a great hotel in Paris. We have been there several times and the hotels we stayed in were OK but not memorable. Hotel Odeon, its staff and location in the Heart of the Left Bank can't be beat. Starting with the from desk staff who were all excellent, Bryce stood out. He went... More

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It is extremely well situated and central to many attractions. They have a very nice continental breakfast and the rooms are comfortable, however we had a room on the 5th floor so the ceiling was low with the dormers. Make sure you request a room on the 4th floor or below so... More

Dear Karen W, Thank you for your review and your positive comment regarding our perfect location, great breakfast and comfortable rooms. I respect your opinion but I have to say that I was really surprised by your overall rating (3* average) as you were upgraded for free in a Junior Suite witch is the largest of the hotel and for... A cozy hotel in the heart of St. Germain with amazingly helpful and courteous staff. They serve a great breakfast and are willing to provide helpful hints about what to do and see in Paris. Walking distance to museums, jazz clubs, theaters, the Marais -- and of course all the lovely stores and shops.

My mother and I spent a lovely week here. The staff was wonderfully friendly, the rooms were stylish and clean, and we were a short walk to many of the classic tourist destinations -- The Louvre, Notre Dame, L'Orangerie, etc. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was more than willing to help us out with suggestions on where to dine... St. Germain is an excellent base from which to explore old Paris. The hotel was comfortable, atmospheric, with great breakfast food/coffee/hot chocolate. The staff were particularly helpful with suggesting and arranging tours around Paris and further afield as well as directing us to places of interest to eat and enjoy. Although there was a high step to access the shower... More

The rooms are 'bijoux' and the shower head fell off a few times. But other than that the hotel was great. Perfect location for us, only five minutes walk to all our favourite little bars and restaurants. Wish the hotel had a serviced bar, but they do have a self service bar in the lobby. The staff were lovely and... More

At the Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain, my teenage daughter and I stayed in a beautifully decorated larger-than-average room on the third floor overlooking the street. We appreciated the lift after our busy days full of walking, as well as the comfortable beds, bathtub and Accitane En Provence toiletries. Despite its very central location 2 streets away from the main rood through... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
