Had a 3 day break in April 2015 and couldn't have found a better hotel. The staff are absolutely great, the rooms although not large were decorated to a high standard and towels and bed linen changed daily and the breakfasts were continental and plentiful. We had a flight cancelled due to French air traffic controllers strike which meant we... More

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by lovely and polite staff. Love their eccentric themed rooms and baroque, rustic interiors! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pity the rooms were quite small, as there wasn't enough space for my partner and I to open our luggages fully. Other than that, hotel location is also great. It's very close to... More

We really enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff was very friendly and always helpful. The rooms were adequate in size. Our bathroom shower did not have a curtain (not sure if this is typical for France), but we had friends in another room and their shower did have a door. The rooms are not all identical, which adds to the... More

This hotel is a typical "Parisien" situated nex to the "Les Jardins du Luxembourg". It has a quite class location but not next to the metro station. Metro station "Saint Germain des-Prés is closer but you need to walk to "Odéon" metro station in order to take main metro line. It's a 10 minutes walk from the hotel. This hotel... More

Hotel is located at a very centric location, but it has narrow stairs and corridors. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There are so many posh restaurants close to this hotel. Rooms are decorated nicely, it worth the cost.

Dear Muge, Thank you for your kind review and for taking time in commenting your stay with us. Stairs and corridors are not so large in a 17th century building ! Looking forward to seeing you again, Best regards, More

I was staying with my family, I really love the idea of their rooms themes. Very artsy and the room was spacious and have the sense of luxury and expensive. the location also very good, nearby the metro station and cafes and jardin Luxembourg! even though the hotel corridor is cramp, but I really love the hotel after all! they... Spent 3 nights at the hotel. Loved it. Especially riding in the tiny lift. Our room was luxurious, clean and spacious. Reception was friendly and helpful and it's location was really good, we walked all over Paris from the hotel. Missed coffee making facilities in the room though, but there are lots bakeries and cafes locally for croissants and coffees.... More

Just came back from this hotel today. Room - like other reviews the rooms are dark, when we checked in we were given room 207 which was very dark, asked reception if we could change and moved to room 107 which was brighter. The rooms do not have main lights and just lamps and they are borderline gothic with very... More

We booked this hotel back in November 2014 through Hotels.com. They were due to take a deposit of one night's stay for a holiday in June for 5 nights. When they didn't take this for 2 months, I started to be concerned about whether the booking had gone through. I didn't want to end up in Paris without a booking... More

The hotel was recommended to me by a friend primarily for its location. And it was perfect. Tucked away in the 6th arrondissement, it is a very old building with good sized rooms decorated in a baroque style. Very clean and comfortable and the staff were brilliantly helpful in navigating us to our desired destination. The metro being only a... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
