Our room was small, but recently renovated and clean. You could not have two people walk around it with luggage on the floor at the same time. The bathroom only had a small shower stall - no bathtub. I barely had enough room in there to move my arms around without my elbow hitting the walls. Front desk staff were... More

This is a tiny modern hotel, which actually can cause disappointment if you are looking for nostalgic and romantic Paris atmosphere. However, I myself give importance to comfort and prefer modern hotels generally. I also believe that most Americans can find the hotel claustrophobic because it has narrow corridors, small rooms that a king bed is the only thing that... More

Very nice at the surface: Nicely renewed, brand newly refurbished room, great bathroom, nice looking reception and great location but: - no air circulation in the room nor in the bathroom. After having used the shower we had to open the bedroom window. To be able to have some decent air circulation we had to open the window on a very... More

Breakfast was nice in the basement Staff was friendly Best aspects: -Close to the underground -restaurants/bars nearby with many options -excellent location nearby a lot of attractions (Pantheon, Notre-damme, etc) -The hotel itself was nice and clean. We were pleased to find that the Hotel had recently been refurbished and that the rooms although small, were spotlessly clean. The hotel is perfectly placed for site seeing being close to the Metro and the River (river bus) although not too far to walk to any of the main sites. There are plenty of choices of Restaurants, Cafes or... More

The hotel was really nice, looks like it's been recently refurbished, we had a room on the 5th floor which gave us a good view, you could see the lights from the Eiffel Tower at night. Our room was a decent size, I've paid more and stayed on smaller in London. The bed gave me and my other half really... More

This hotel was right in our price range and honestly the location to all the sites was pretty amazing (if you dont mind taking the subway system). It's very very small inside but it served its purpose. The bed was comfortable, it was romantic in it's own way, the bathroom was large enough, the bakery across the street was a... More

On return to the hotel it turned out that our room had been allocated to someone else and we had to stay in a standard room for the first night asapose to the superior room we... More

We stayed at this hotel a few days ago, at Christmas, for seven days and generally we were very pleased! Pros: 1. Central location a few steps from Ile de la Cite and opposite the metro station. 2. Room with a very satisfying bed... a good night's sleep is necessary after a very tiring day, viewing the sights. 3. Right... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
