We were pleased to find that the Hotel had recently been refurbished and that the rooms although small, were spotlessly clean. The hotel is perfectly placed for site seeing being close to the Metro and the River (river bus) although not too far to walk to any of the main sites. There are plenty of choices of Restaurants, Cafes or... More

The hotel was really nice, looks like it's been recently refurbished, we had a room on the 5th floor which gave us a good view, you could see the lights from the Eiffel Tower at night. Our room was a decent size, I've paid more and stayed on smaller in London. The bed gave me and my other half really... More

This hotel was right in our price range and honestly the location to all the sites was pretty amazing (if you dont mind taking the subway system). It's very very small inside but it served its purpose. The bed was comfortable, it was romantic in it's own way, the bathroom was large enough, the bakery across the street was a... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in august on arrival our room wasn't ready so we headed off around finding our feet. On return to the hotel it turned out that our room had been allocated to someone else and we had to stay in a standard room for the first night asapose to the superior room we... More

We stayed at this hotel a few days ago, at Christmas, for seven days and generally we were very pleased! Pros: 1. Central location a few steps from Ile de la Cite and opposite the metro station. 2. Room with a very satisfying bed... a good night's sleep is necessary after a very tiring day, viewing the sights. 3. Right... More

The hotel location was recommended by a Parisian colleague of mine. The location was super and the hotel was newly renovated. We also chose it because it was advertised as having fast wifi. This was not the case. We could not get it in our room unless we stood by the door and then we kept getting kicked off the... More

Only a 5 minute walk from Notre Dam,in the lively Latin Quarter.Even though the hotel was still under restoration it had clean rooms, friendly staff.and near the metro and busses. And the price was very reasonable.

I have been travelling to Paris for 15 years and I can honestly say this is the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. The Good: Ideal location, convenient to metro (Place Monge), bus # 47, bank, taxi stand, and grocery. A few cute and quaint shops in this area. Great location--just find another hotel nearby. The Bad: The hotel... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, bed comfortable, room clean. Location ideal as the subway was across the street. Easy walk to numerous restaurants, all the restaurants we ate at in Paris were great. The small neighborhood bakeries were excellent too. All the places we visited were nice, people friendly.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
