this was a great location. with bank machine and subway station right across the street. Street markets close by, and a short walk to shops to pick up a baguette and fruit and sit by Notre Dame cathedral for a picnic breakfast. Wonderful square called Contrescarpe also short walk, where the likes of Hemingway used to frequent. All sorts of... More

We use Best Western quite often and are usually delighted with the standard. However on this occasion we were very disappointed. How it merits three stars is beyond me! In it's favour, the location is good and it was clean. The receptionist during the day was efficient and helpful with an excellent command of English. The night "receptionist" however, left... More

For a hotel in Paris I think the rooms were a good size. recent remodeling made the bathroom very nice. 24 desk problem, the internet was not working very well we needed it for our business. two metro stops that were very close which was great.

We have just got back from staying in this hotel for the weekend, it is a very nice hotel, the rooms are small but very clean, the beds are very very comfortable . The only complain I have is I asked for a room with a view of the street and I was given a room in the centre of... More

Hotel location is good, hotel itself is rather small and guest rooms are also pretty small but decorated to contemporary style! Beakfast is not included, free internet is a plus. dont expect a proper wardrobe just a hanger place in the corner! at 140 euro per night I would expect a little bit more. on plus side its clean and... Located perfectly 10 min from the Notre Dam, 5 min from the Pantheon/Luxembourg gardens. Had a room in with a distant view to Sacre-Coeur. Do not take the breakfast deal - very nice patisserie just in front. Nearby metro station, minute away from the moftard (with nearby Carl Marleti patisserie). Price vs location/comfort - very good.

room is a bit small but clean and bed is comfortable. we had twin sharing, the size is still OK for 2 ladies. can imagine it would be a bit tough for 2 men. bathroom is very very small. location is excellent - very near to Place Monge Metro and walking distance to Notre Dame. It was easy for us... More

First of all hotel is at great location, you are on 5 min walk from Notre Dam, Senna and ofcourse Latin quarter where you have so many restaurants and interesting places (we always went before sleep at Place de Contrascarpe which is 15-20m from hotel, great little caffes, lots of people). Metro station is 20m away and that is very... More

Though the room was a bit small it was clean and had all the necessary things you need for a stay. The hotel is at a convenient location close to Metro and restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had no issues at all and we can recommend this hotel.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2015

Our room was small, but recently renovated and clean. You could not have two people walk around it with luggage on the floor at the same time. The bathroom only had a small shower stall - no bathtub. I barely had enough room in there to move my arms around without my elbow hitting the walls. Front desk staff were... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
