We got a wonderful four poster bed superior room at a very good price on a hotel booking website, I was very impressed when I came into the room. There was a separate loo from the bathroom which was also a pleasant surprise. The staff were charming and able to summon a cab in the pouring rain at a minute's... More

We used this hotel for our honeymoon, It was in a very nice area and was spotlessly clean. we chose to take breakfast on two occasions which was very nice indeed, the hotel is located centrally and close to the local metro giving access to all areas of Paris would highly recommend this hotel for mature couples looking for a... We stayed at the Sevres Saint Germain hotel in late November on the recommendation of friends. We got a great rate and really enjoyed the neighborhood. We could tell the rooms had been renovated, and they were clean and fairly well appointed. The hallways are very narrow and dark, though, and the elevator is extremely small. The staff was wonderful... More

Small but comfortable room, spotlessly clean, extremely friendly desk staff, charming atmosphere. Only complaint was that CNN stopped working after the first day - but I wasn't in Paris to watch TV, so it didn't matter much at all!

This was a very nice hotel in the 6th arrondissement, convenient to metro and easily walkable to many points of interest. Staff was very accommodating, pleasant. 24 hour front desk. Gracious, quiet area off lobby for reading, a glass of wine. Not on the tourist hotel area. When I return to Paris, this is where I will stay.

A well-maintained property in an excellent neighborhood. Half a block to Le Bon Marche department store, plenty of restaurants nearby. Metro lines a few blocks away, but location great otherwise. Solid cleanliness and value, extremely helpful and friendly front desk people.

We booked this hotel because of positive comments on trip-advisor. So I feel obliged to complete a review because this spoilt our trip. first, we agreed a price online. When we came to confirm, reception attempted to charge a higher price. Yes, the hotel is well located but that is all. the rooms were small -that is tolerable- but not... More

I stayed with my 19 year old daughter for 7 nights in this hotel. It was a mother-daughter trip. The room was a decent size for Paris and clean. We stayed in a superior double bed room. The walls were a little thin, but every night except one, the room was quiet. The staff was exceptional. They all spoke some,... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
