The hotel is a bit further away from the main attractions in Paris but very near metros that can easily get you anywhere. It is also close to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens that were great for a morning run. The breakfast buffet included was pretty good and kept us satiated for our exploration of Paris. The hotel is also very... More

This was a nice hotel in a nice area near Gare Montparnasse. We stayed on August 19. It was also very close to a metro (line 4 I think). Typical small Paris hotel and if that bothers you go to a Hilton or something. Staff were extremely nice and they all spoke English. It had an elevator and the towels... More

Charming staff, well designed room, great location, reading lights and fast wifi makes for a perfect hotel! It's so good that although I have a booking somewhere else for five days I don't want to move. I can't believe the other hotel will live up to this gold standard.

The hotel is a perfect reflection Paris. Very stylish and comfortable. The staff are extremely helpful and provide a very good and discrete service. The rooms are small but well appointed. The location is very handy to the Metro and we found it very easy to get around.

Fantastic service, room, and location. The front desk was consistently friendly and helpful. The room was about twice as large as another, pricier hotel just three blocks away where we stayed previously. There are several cafes and brasseries just a block from its front door as well as the best patisserie we tried in Paris just a couple of doors... More

Possibly the friendliest, most accommodating hotel staff I have ever come across. Also well designed rooms regarding the use of space which is important in the centre of Paris. A little more sound proofing in the room would be the only improvement I'd have liked but it hasn't caused me to change my rating. Perfectly located too! Thoroughly enjoyable trip.

The hotel is a little out of the way of the main attractions, but the metro is close by. If you are looking for rustic France, then this is the place to stay. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bar is a tad limited, but the wine is reasonably priced, unlike the bars in central Paris. The... More

This is a very nice hotel ideally located near multiple metro lines, stores, and restaurants/cafes. The best part about the hotel is the staff, especially the front desk people. They are very friendly, accommodating, and have lots of great tips for the area and Paris in general. Other positives: free wifi, air conditioning, and the room was bigger than I... More

A lovely boutique little hotel in central (as it can be) Paris - not far from Saint Placid metro (about 13 stops from Gare de Nord). My room was relatively 'spacious', nice décor, decent sized bathroom, good wifi, minibar, safe etc. Lots of restaurants, shops, bars, amenities on their doorstep. Would recommend for leisure or work. Only "negative" really was... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
