We booked the Valentine's special. Traditional. Very nice room with views on the the Arc de Triomphe. Extra bottle of Champagne was included. The location was really convenient, with a few steps from the Champs-Élysées and from the bus to the airport Charles de Gaulle.

This hotel is first class for any travellers wishing a romantic weekend in Paris. The bedroom was excellent,of reasonable size with king size bed and lovely bathroom with bath and shower. The hotels loaction approx 100m from the Arc de Triomphe and from a main metro station was ideal for sigthseeing. The breakfast was such that there was no need... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Hotel. The hotel was clean and the bathroom was beautiful-complete with towel warmer!! The room was small (for N.A. standards) but there was adequate space for luggage and it was decorated very tastefully. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was brilliant! The street is a main roadway, but not... More

We got a cheaper deal through Travelzoo so paid a reasonable price for this centrally located hotel. It's within ideal walking distance of so many places-we walked to Monmartre, Notre Dame, across the Seine to the Latin Quarter and to Jardin Luxembourg. Top tip-walk rather than getting the metro if you can-you miss so much on the Metro! The hotel... More

Our stay at the beginning of February was not long, so we needed a hotel that put us in the center of the "action," so to speak. Royal Hotel, just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe was perfect. The best thing about this hotel is the location, which is why I gave it an above average rating. The hotel... More

All were a great experience except for the royal hotel. where we booked 2 connecting rooms for us and our 2 kids aging 4... More

Have stayed here multiple times. Location is great and special price offers sometimes match. At full price this is a stretch. Internet does not always work, but rooms are generally quite good (although vary and the wrong room can be small and shower only). Front desk is ok, although has it's moments. is small and is often understaffed. Generally positive.

Not bad at all ... I stayed here for five nights in September 2006 and let me be straight to the point: This hotel does not offer an unforgettable experience … but the location alone is worth all your money with less than a minute walk to the Champs-Elysses and the Arc de Triumph … breakfast was great with both... The location of this hotel couldn't be more perfect! We ordered a triple luxe room, however, and when I got there, found out that a triple room is really a double room with a cot - rather deceiving. Additionally, the "bar" area was pretty lame. Overall, though, the staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean and the location... More

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
