The Positive: - location (if your busines/leisure requires you to be near the Arc de Triomphe - sound (not loud at all) - value (at a time when good hotels cost 500 Euros, the Royal Hotel at Euro 200 or thereabouts is ok - free internet The Not-so-Positive: - After multiple communications with the hotel about our need for an... Was recommended by a colleague who warned me about the size of the normal rooms so booked their executive rooms which are spacious and have a view of the Arc de Triomphe (we could even see it from our bed!). Reviews of staff and breakfast are pretty poor so we avoided them as much as possible but did have to... More

Though my trip to Paris meant I only used the hotel for sleeping purposes only, I can really recommend this hotel. It's perfectly situated close to the Arc de Triomphe, with direct access to the metro-system. The location of the hotel itself is in a quiet neighbourhood giving it the perfect silence for sleeping. Staff was extremely friendly as well.... More

We got a SUPERIOR Room in this hotel for a great price. The room is just awesome. The place is currently being renovated, however, its super clean. The service is great. The room decor and space is amazingggg.. Its unlike the other hotel rooms in Paris where only 2 ppl can stand in a room and no place to walk.... More

Let me start by saying that we didn't pay to go to this hotel, as my wife won a local radio competition which resulted in us staying there, however this review is based on what we experienced and would have, had we have paid. Firstly, the location is absolutely perfect for the Arc D'Triomphe, which is a mere 200 metres... More

Like so many things in Paris, your reaction to the Royal Hotel will probably be mainly based on the price you pay. My room had a published nightly rate of over € 300. If I had paid that amount, I would now be writing a pretty negative review. However, having actually paid less than € 100 per night, I have... More

This hotel is very nicely located, clean, friendly staff and good value. There is a very elegant bar right infront of the hotel called "WILLIAMS Cafe-Cocktail Bar" (its new and its not too busy all the time) the prices of cocktail, wine, beers are cheap for this part of the city and the staff are very nice and friendly!!! they... We stayed for three nights in November/December 2008 for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room s were very tidy and kept clean daily. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English (regrettably my French is very poor). The hotel was a 5 minute walk from Arc De Triomphe and a block away from Champs-Élysées with all the... THE NEGATIVE Firstly, you need to be aware that what you are promised is not what you will get. The hotel's own website states that every room has free wifi and an in room safe. This is not the case. The website also states that the rooms all have a view of either the street or their courtyard. By definition... More

Really small... old rooms... unpleasant... feels like an overgrown B&B as opposed to a Hotel proper... Rooms are dim, dull and very worn down!!! I walked out!

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
