A nice old hotel that impressed us when we arrived; full of style. There are two small elevators with double-doors that open automatically. Our room was large. I loved opening the windows and looking down onto the entrance. The staff was very polite and helpful --- printing our boarding passes when we emailed the passes to them. The WiFi worked... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights thru the Easter Holiday. Traveled with husband and 2 older children (19) (22) - great boutique hotel in the heart of the Opera District. Many choices for restaurants and cafes along Blvd Haussmann. Breakfast was free with suites and food was consistently good. Small bar in hotel lobby which was quiet most... More

A gorgeous city made more enjoyable with an equally gorgeous hotel. Beautiful suite, old charm, friendly staff. Absolutely loved this visit! The hotel was well positioned and convenient to reach shopping areas and restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic with a lovely spread of pastries, fruit and delicious hot meals.

I read many very good reviews on this hotel before I came for a 4-day business trip. Like others, I was impressed by the Victorian Style decoration which is undoubtedly beautiful. The location is perfect! Extremely convenient that I didn't take taxi or subway throughout my stay in the hotel. As pointed out by others, the room is relatively small.... More

Nice hotel in the center of Paris not far from Opera. The room was small but with very big bed. The bathroom is not good enough for 4*. Awful food for room service. They write you can order food from 7 am but in fact no. Deposit 50€... And we haven't got it back yet.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend in Paris. Very well positioned hotel - we walked everywhere, including down to Notre Dame and over to the Pompidou and Le Marais. Entry area a little tired, but the lifts are that wonderful old Victorian/Parisian style and the corridors very nicely old fashioned. We had the most wonderful corner suite which... More

Good: location. very convenient for 'Les Grand Magazins" and everything around the Opera. this without being in the worst midst of it. We were on a family travel, rooms are big and very clean, location is convenient to visit the main hot spots of Paris, and prices are fair. Near to Lafayette gallery and Paris Opera. Walking distance to Montmartre.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
