Terrific location for transit and shopping in Montmartre. Can walk to Opera and other central hubs or jump on bus or Metro. Rooms small, clean, decent linens. Staff observant and helpful. Booked online and asked for a quiet room - they delivered!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights (Jan 18-27th) for Men's Fashion Week. We were looking for a hotel that was clean, modest, centrally located and close to the locations of the trade shows. I can say that TRYP met these criteria and we were "almost" pleased with our stay until the very last day (I'll... More

Our first family trip to Paris had to be on a budget. European hotels only allow 3 people per room unless you have a suite, which is expensive! So, Hello Tryp Paris Opera Hotel! We got a family suite. Very reasonably priced for our 10 day stay. Hotel was dated, room was dated but served our purpose. You can get... More

I booked several rooms here for 4 nights this past October for my family and myself. While nothing was particularly bad about the TRYP Hotel Paris, it was not comparable to other 4 Star hotels in Paris in the same price range. I generally like boutique hotels but this one did not live up to its reputation and was not... More

We stayed at the hotel for a night during our Paris trip in Nov. We wanted a place close to the Opera as we wanted to explore that area of the city. The location of the hotel is just super convenient. Literally, just over the 'Grand Boulevards' metro station. The rooms are small and strangely shaped. Ours got heated up... More

Dear bpbindaas, First of all we would like to thank for sharing your experience about the TRYP Paris Opéra Hotel. It is true to say our hotel is ideally located : as you noticed, the metro just at the entrance is a real advantage. Furthermore, many areas are accessible only a few minutes walk : the Opéra Quarter, the famous... More

This hotel worked very well for us on our visit. We had a room facing the street, which had a very nice, large balcony that allowed us to watch the activity on the street below (Boulevard Montremarte, I believe). The room was somewhat small, though the bathroom was quite large. There was also a separate water closet. Even though we... More

Dear Michael M, First of all, many thanks for taking some of your time to write a comment about the TRYP Paris Opéra Hotel. Actually yes, it is the Boulevard Montmartre. We do apologize for the noisy inconvenience coming from our neighboru; indeed students enjoy to have some drinks in this location. We've talked to owner of the bar many... More

I have stayed 4 nights in this hotel in Paris. Up to the standards of the "Melia" hotel group. Very nice experience overall, recently renovated rooms and a very tasteful breakfast, with a large variety. Just near the Metro so very easy to explore all areas of Paris. On the downside, the single rooms are very small, but this is... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days/2 nights during Autumn Half term. We had a family room (2 pre-teen children & 2 adults) and the room was perfect. The layout of the space (a sitting room with bunkbeds for the kids & bedroom with king-size bed for the adults - separated by a corridor containing the bathroom) was the... More

Dear nerdymak, First of all we would like to thank you for your nice comment. For sure, it is very comfortable that hotels like the TRYP Paris Opéra can provide family rooms, instead of splitting in two different rooms. The staff is also very proud to learn that we could help you in many ways. It will be our pleasure... More

The room is spacious, clean and quiet even on the street side. Breakfast is OK. Good location, a lot of restaurants and bars around the hotel and metro access right on front of the hotel. Could smell cigarette smoke in my room and mentioned this to the staff but nothing was done.

The room was clean and I got a room not against the street, which was a quite room. The look on the door broke once, and water was coming from the toilet roof, but I received help with this and the total impression is still good. The breakfast was very good.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
