Ok Paris does not do big rooms but this was taking the proverbial! We measured the room it was 3x4m, with the shower the size of a coffin and the toilet in another coffin size room it was so ridiculous it was funny. With 2 cases in the room you could not get around the bed and had to climb... More

Terrible from the start - arrived at 4pm and room was not ready. At 11:30pm at night, another guest was given my room assignment and came walking into my room with his key. Then, the front desk called my room to ask what room I was staying in. 30 minutes later, they called back (now it is after midnight!) asking... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and tidy, with modern equipment and the price was very good. Not in the centre city centre, but really close to metros and RER, so convenient for connection to the airport as well!

Great shower - pressure & temp both good. Bed comfortable. Excellent location for access to Gare d'Austerlitz & metro. Handy open all hours shop underneath (closed Sundays). Kafe D'Austerlitz was excellent. Good value and great food.

Bring your own adapters for computers, phone chargers, as these are not provided in the room. Rooms are quite small for two people - no chairs provided except for a desk chair (no room for any others).

As with many Paris hotels rooms are small, but well fitted out. We found the room very clean and more than adequate for the basics ie sleeping and hot shower. Location is great for Gare Austerlitz - literally just over the road. Jardin des Plantes is also a pleasant spot to watch the world go by. It is also well... More

The hotel was a great place to base yourself for seeing Paris. Clean rooms with a brilliant hot and powerful shower, you can't go wrong if you want somewhere to crash after a day round Paris. Rooms are small but hey it's central Paris! Rooms have only basic amenities with a kettle, ask for iron and safe as they do... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my 10 year old daughter and chose this hotel as it's in close proximity to Gare Austelitz. The location was perfect, a short walk from Notre Dame along the river. The room, although tiny, was adequate as we only used to sleep and shower in. Paris is for exploring, not to spend in... More

I stayed here for 9 days this month on a trip to Paris with my teenage daughter. We got it as a deal on travelocity and the price was really right. It did have a lot of positives. It was right across the street from a major transit hub that served the RER and metro lines as well as more... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
