I stayed here for one night on business. The room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The walls are thin so most of the night I was kept awake by the people in the next room. The hotel is centrally situated and was close to the station for access to other parts of the city/airport. The hotel... More

We stayed here for three nights September, 2014, and found the room to be small and compact but everything was there for a SHORT stay and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfast was reasonable however we recommend the local bakery only a few yards away, (as is McDonalds). There is the most beautiful park 50 metres... More

Great location - close to the station and metro, and most main attractions are walkable (within 30 mins). Room was very clean & comfortable, staff very helpful (spoke English, although not an issue for us). Breakfast @ 12€ was good value esp for central Paris!!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the weekend for a special occasion. The location is good, close to the metro and restaurants. However we was not happy with our stay. We had a room at the back of the hotel (503), we had a dirty stained sheet on our bed. Our curtains were hanging off. The shower door wouldnt... More

This hotel is right across from the Gare de Austerlitz, so is very convenient if you want to take a train from Paris. It is very close to a Metro stop and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was very welcoming and helped us with some travel snags.

We stayed here for two nights, and found it to be clean, friendly and very well placed for accessing attractions and transport. Good restaurants and cafes in the immediate neighbourhood also mean you don't have to stay far if you're looking for a bit too eat! Our room was fairly small but more than adequate, with a fair sized ensuite... More

The Libertel Austerlitz JdP is a pleasant place with the obvious attraction that it's right across the road from Austerlitz station, so is obviously perfect for train travel. Other than that it is fine, a typical small European budget style hotel. Reception staff friendly with good English, breakfast buffet typical Continental with more choice than you often get. My room... More

This hotel is clean and cost effective. There are lovely gardens just behind the hotel for a stroll before your train. I booked the hotel breakfast for €10, getting a 'discount' via booking at the counter at check in. The breakfast included the usual cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bread, boiled eggs but also ham, charcuterie and various cheeses... plus unlimited tea... More

The hotel is right next to the Paris Austerlitz train station and close to River Seine. If you arrive at night, you won't miss it as the entire hotel is lit with green colored lights on the exterior. The hotel does not use the word 'Libertel' as part of its signage anymore so don't be alarmed when you can't see... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
