I stayed here for 9 days this month on a trip to Paris with my teenage daughter. We got it as a deal on travelocity and the price was really right. It did have a lot of positives. It was right across the street from a major transit hub that served the RER and metro lines as well as more... More

The name Libertel does not show on the street, only in the elevator. It stops in between the floors where the rooms are located, so you need to drag your luggage down 10 steps. The room and shower are minuscule and are designed to make the most of the space. Convenient shuttle to the airport for 18 Euros per person.... More

This was a great choice. Friendly staff (yes...the French can be quite nice!), cozy room (if you're expecting super-sized, then keep moving... this is not for you!), perfect location (Metro station within 50 feet or less), nice neighborhood & all around accessible. Word of caution: Just be careful at night (homeless, etc). We walked to & fro, we took the... More

An excellent base for your time in Paris. The location is great. You do not know that it is across the street from the Gare Austerlitz but you do know it is beside the Jardins des Plantes. Rooms are small and clean and include a kettle and coffee and tea. We reckon it was less than one Km to Notre... More

As a base to explore Paris this is somewhere I would stay again. The hotel is two minutes walk from a metro station, and there are a number of restaurants to choose from on the same road, a couple of which I tried and enjoyed. The room itself was clean, brilliant heating, the bed comfy and the shower was great. I... More

Nice enough hotel for a short stay in Paris. They speak English. Check in was simple and painless and the room was ok. Standard hotel room with all the required amenities. The only negative was my room was facing the busy main road so the noise was difficult to get used to. So ask for a room at the back... More

We were very happy with this hotel. Right across the street from Gare d'Austerlitz, you can get anywhere very easily. Though you can walk to Notre Dame and the Spanish quarter in 15 minutes if you choose. There are also really great restaurants and bars all along the same street. I do recommend it.

The relation between quality, comfort, location and price is the ideal for who is visiting Paris as a regular tourist. Near to the hotel you have access to underground and trains of Austerlitz. There are a few restaurants, including a McDonalds on the same block. There are two important considerations about the hotel, the first one is that it is... More

The hotel is in excellent location near train and metro stations, there is plenty of restaurant near by. The room was clean except that it was too small although it was family room but it didn't affect our stay because we used to spend day outside and the hotel was only for sleep.staff was friendly and the speak English very... Me and my mother stayed here a few days ago, for 3 nights. We cooked a cosy double room on booking.com well in advance. The location of this hotel is superb, right across the road from Paris Austerlitz station. This has direct connections to Paris City via RER line C, for example, just a few stops from the Eiffel Tower... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
