I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel, given the price. Stylish decor in the lobby and the rooms, well-appointed bathroom stocked with very nice toiletries, and excellent location at the edge of the Latin Quarter (this end of rue des Ecoles has a quieter, more neighborhood-y feel than nearby Boulevard St. Michel. The front desk staff were... More

Nice hotel but worn down. English bar which was pleasant. The room we had with 3 beds needed renovating. One of two showers was not in use. Good location and friendly staff. Not worth the price though. Was told they had newly renovated rooms but not for 3 beds.

I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the Villa Pantheon based on the information I gathered here on TripAdvisor. The hotel is in need of an update, but the room we had was not bad. It had a cute little balcony overlooking the street and was clean. I'm really writing this review to commend one of the staff members... More

Hotel close to the Pantheon, Latin Quarter and Notre Dame. Nice area of Paris. Breakfast included in cost of room was good but wouldn't have paid 15E. Room adequate but the shower needed attention. The bar was rarely open.

i booked a stay for my partners birthday through secret escapes. The hotel was described as boutique, but it was Scottish boutique not Parisian. Rooms were so tiny too, and staff a bit disinterested, some of the decor seemed pretty old and shabby but it wasn't the worst place I've stayed. I also read quite a few bad reviews before... More

The hotel is beautiful inside & out, the room was very cosy & the bed was incredible. The staff were also all very friendly. Restaurants & supermarkets all within walking distance. I would defiantly stay again.

We really enjoyed a long weekend in Paris. Adjoining rooms, (very clean and cosy) and very friendly and helpful staff. Very hard to criticise - only that the hotel had a super air conditioned bar which was hardly ever open. Walking distance to cafes and bars, minutes from Notre Dame and many other attractions. Great hotel, great location, friendly staff,... More

The hotel, ideally located in Paris center, is really more a 3 star than the claimed 4 stars : unstable or no wifi in the rooms, cheap plastic glasses in the bathrooms (and not changed even after our request to do so), shabby furniture, ... The staff is friendly indeed, even very friendly, but not effective. It would be ok... More

This was our 2nd stay at Villa Pantheon (first was 6 years ago) and thought we had secured a bargain at £280 for 3 nights. I would now say this was good value due to location but the hotel is really a 3 star so £100 per night is probably what I would expect to pay. Rooms are clean but... More

I was in Paris for one night for business and the Villa Pantheon was excellent value for money, great location and very clean. Rooms are maybe a bit dark, but that didn't matter at all. I only used the room to sleep in! :-) Highly recommend.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
