My wife and I stayed from the 26th-28th August and we could not fault a thing. This hotel is well run by friendly staff ( who spoke very good English ) nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room (106) was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location of the hotel was fantastic in a lovely area of Paris, 5... More

This is a small and poorly maintained hotel. The shower door at my room may fall down at any time. A power socket is broken. The carpet is dirty. The wall paper is scratched. The only thing meeting my expectation is that the bedding is clean. The room is very tiny. The bathroom is so tiny that the towel was... More

The staff and the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We stayed in the 7th floor corner room, which was a little cramped. I bumped my toe on the door stoppers a few times. The shower door was broken. We suspect it was broken for a while as the staff did not... More

Our bedroom was big and had everything we needed. It was quite quirky and we liked that. Some reviews have criticised the decor but I think it was quite fitting of a Parisian hotel to be honest. It had a theme, and it worked. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. Breakfast was nothing special... More

I would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to paris on a budget. It is clean, the staff are courteous and it is an excellent position for the metro and RER stations. The hotel bedroom was large enough, the bed was comfortable and although the furniture was old it was functional. The catacombs are just a few minutes away. There... More

An average hotel in Paris a bit old fashion, don't expect much more than what you see in the pictures. The hotel needs a refurnishment. I didn't have the breakfast. Staff were friendly as they are also at the bar around the corner. 1km from montparnasse tower.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Villa Montparnasse. It is with sincere regret that we note your dissatisfaction with our Hotel's decoration. However, our decoration is an exotic combination of plants, materials and minerals gives the Villa Montparnasse the look of a colonial house. The color of the mahogany, the... More

Great location, friendly personal, good breakfast, good but not great A/C, but it was really hot: 35-40 degrees Celcius, excellent bathrooms, very good bed, we were on the last, 7th floor, nice view, we were lucky having a bathtub in the bathroom and a small living room.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 different times, each for many days. Will continue to stay there. Very close to a large train station, quiet hotel surrounded by a lovely shopping village. The staff is awesome and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for five nights (in room 206) in April, and it was the biggest regret in our 6 week Europe Holiday. The regret was not just the hotel though, it was visiting Paris altogether. (But it's off the bucket list now) . I didn't enjoy this hotel. I wasn't overly impressed by the conversation or service of the... More

We stayed here for 5 days - got a "special deal" on the internet. Just perfect small boutique type hotel - close enough to all the tourist attractions but away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet and close to restaurants, cafes etc. and a short walk to the "Red Bus" stop and rail station. Right near the Catacombs - which... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
