It's on the far outskirts of the city in a not-so-great neighborhood. Long subway ride to get downtown. Rooms and hallways smelled smokey and carpeting and paint needs updating. Construction noise from the hallways in the morning. No wifi in rooms. Staff was not very helpful. It's cheap, and that's about the best thing about it.

Stayed here for a business meeting. It provided what we needed quite well. I only ate the buffet breakfast at the restaurant; for other meals we were served as a group and the food and service was great. The rooms are in need of upgrade with worn carpet etc but they are comfortable. Wifi was available in the lobby and... More

The room, the bathroom, the carper weren't as clean as one would expect. No WiFi in the room. Non-secure WiFi only available in the lobby and next to the elevators on the floors. Receptionists weren't as professional as expected. You could tell it is/was a nice hotel but service operations were performed rather poorly except for the overall breakfast experience.... More

Just got back from a 2night stay at this hotel. A girlfriend and I were visiting Paris to attend a Robbie Williams concert at the very conveniently situated La Zenith venue. On arrival we were given the wrong room ; we'd booked a twin and were given a double in a very tiny room ; revisited reception to request a... More

When I called the reception to ask I needed to rest they said no. They had to do the works. Rude!!! Why they don't tell people they are... More

This one was booked on the Expat tour. It was the first destination on the Europe tour and we got a little skeptical as we moved in. The hotel has a metro station right in its complex, is a huge building with Hippopotamus on top (it is also referred to as Hippopotamus hotel) but overall it wasn't a great experience... More

This hotel is quite large, something not that common in Paris, but is it way too far from any interesting turistic sites. It is clean but kind of old. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the common areas, rooms are very small. There is a metro station in the back of the hotel but it takes quite... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
