We booked the hotel via AirMiles which meant we were less affected by the cost of the hotel. It would have worked out at £175per room per night + £14 each for breakfast per day, which would have put us off if we were paying cash. We did stay in a Premier room and it was very nice and very... more

Room – was clean, not too small – you could walk around the bed! Bathroom was modern and clean, my wife was happy about that. Breakfast was typical continental, simple, fresh and well stocked. Room was quiet even though it over looked the street (good double glazing). Staff was very helpful. Night manager on our arrival at 10 PM (thanks... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, not our first time in Paris, but we do like this particular area and wanted to stay closer to the Latin Quarter. This hotel provided a good balance between proximity to main areas whilst being in a quiet location. Metro link was good and the Rue Mouffetard was a 3 minute walk.... more

we stayed for one night in March. Of course the rue Mouffetard area is a great pleasure. Our twin was not available but the staff person was so nice about it, she upgraded us to a "prestige" room immediately and offered us free breakfasts and copious sincere excuses. Thus the beds are mostly full size, not queen. the regular double... more

We booked a 3 night special for my 40th Birthday and were not disappointed. We struggled with deciding on whch area and obviously which hotel. Our budget was tight but we wanted the best we could for our plummeting pound ! The Hotel is just off the Rue Mouffetard but is on a relatively quiet back street so a front... more

LOVE the area - the Rue Mouffetard is glorious. You can walk to wherever you want to go if the weather is kind, the shops are brill, the eating places are fab and you feel safe (and I went alone). The hotel is friendly and the rooms were bigger and nicer than the ones in the Residence Gobelins where I... more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of October. We were able to get a last minute deal for excellent value through a website about 3 days before our trip (and verified choice based on Trip Advisor's reviews). The rooms are small, but very clean and it is a 3 minute walk to the Rue... more

Excellent friendly small hotel in a quiet street but near a lively area with good cafes, lots of small shops and a lively market. 2 metro stations and regular bus service close by. Bus number 27 goes close to Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon and Notre Dame. Montparnasse is a comfortable walk turning right up and over the bridge a few yards... more

We stayed at the Cardinal Rive Gauche for 7 nights in July 2008. Room is very clean, spacious, functional and fairly quiet. Great location, Rue Mouffetard is just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel with many nice restaurants/cafe/boulangeries. Place de La Contrescarpe has great bars (10 mins walk). Easy access to the metro (Censier-Daubenton station - 5 mins... more

We have just returned from an excellent 5 day stay at this hotel. The service across the board was 1st class, the receptionist spoke excellent English and was very helpful and friendly. The bedroom was a good size, very clean and comfortable. The location is great for exploring Paris, the metro (Censier- Daubenton) is just a few minutes away. The... more
