The rooms are basic - including no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. 2 English speaking channels on tv. It's an ok location. It's good during the day where there is lots to do in the area but at night if you don't want a typical (terrible) tourist meal, it's hard to find somewhere decent that's not overly expensive. Not... I arrived on the Eurostar and transferred to the Metro, getting off at Censier Daubenton and found it was only five minutes walk to the hotel. The staff were very nice, spoke english and checked in no issues. The room was perfect for once person, mirrored robe, plasma tv, desk, queen bed, window, heating, large bathroom with bath and hairdryer.... More

stayed at this hotel in November 2011. There were 2 of us in a superior double. There was plenty of space in this room to put our things, and a safe in the closet for passport, etc, while we were out sightseeing. had a room overlooking the street, never got loud. the front desk staff was nice. the breakfast in... The Cardinal hotel is conveniently located to 2 metro stops and in an interesting neighbourhood with fresh food market one block away and boulangerie and other shops nearby. The reception staff are extremely helpful and courteous, all spoke English, and my single room while not large was more than adequate and newly refurbished with a gorgeous bathroom. The included breakfast... More

My adult daughter and I stayed at the Cardinal Rive Gauche in early October and recommend this to travelers wholeheartedly and without reservation. The hotel is conveniently located in a colorful neighborhood close to several notable sites, e.g., Rue Mouffetard, Pantheon, Jardin des Plantes. The metro and bus are accessible for longer distances. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and... More

My 17-year old daughter and I stayed in this hotel in July 2011. the first room they showed us was small, even by Paris standards, and they offered us a better room (312) if we waited. It was worth it. the new room had been renovated and was not much larger, but more comfortable. The hotel offers breakfast every morning... More

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the hotel. We arrived via Eurostar and found the hotel easy to find. We used the Censier Daubenton metro stop which was only a 5-10 minute walk. The Reception Staff were all very friendly and spoke english although we did attempt our school time french with them. The rooms were clean and... More

This is a comfortable clean hotel with pleasant helpful staff in an excellent location for exploring the 5th. Arrondisement on foot and the rest of Paris using the nearby Metro and bus links. My wife and I spent two weeks there recently and would not hesitate to recommend it to other holidaymakers. More

We liked this hotel a lot. Very clean, decent size room for a Paris 3 star. Breakfast was good and the staff were really sweet and helpful. The location is just a short walk from the main areas of the Latin Quarter & Saint Germain districts. If looking for a 3 star in Paris again we would stay here 100%. More

The hotel is near the Gobelins metro stop, in a quiet residential area, 15 minutes walk from Place d'Italie. The room was clean, though very small, and the Italian guy at the desk very polite and helpful. Free newspapers in the morning. The price is slightly lower than the average of the area, compared to the hotel quality. More
