This small friendly hotel is a great choice for a stay in the Latin Quarter. Rooms are typically small, but totally adequate. Location is superb, within sight of Notre Dame. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, lounge is very comfortable and relaxing.

Although it is located in a small quiet street, the Melia Colbert offers nice rooms in a perfect location in the 5th (Latin) quarter: 3 minutes walk to Notre Dame and Ile St. louie and 2 minutes walk to St. Germain Boulevard. The room is well decorated with high ceiling and large windows, small but well equipped bathroom. Service was... More

Lovely small hotel quintessentially French in style and full of character. Fantastic location 5 minutes from Notre dame and nearest metro station. Meticulously clean. Helpful friendly staff. Rooms not huge but comfortable. We were in room 36 overlooking the small garden and quiet enough for a good sleep even on a Saturday night. Would heartily recommend.

But for the location, I do not recommend this hotel. Poor quality for the high price. When we checked in, the front desk person said, "these are the rooms where we put the Americans." It was room #1, right off the front desk, street level. The room was far from charming as another reviewer called their room. You could hear... More

Located across the river from Notre Dame. Wonderful location for visiting Paris. The rooms were charming. Each of them were different. The service was excellent. The breakfast was okay. But we had a good time there and in Paris as well.

I stayed here on a business trip last week and have to say it was mostly very good. The Hotel itself is a very nice boutique place with great staff. The majority of them spoke one of the two languages I can communicate in, neither being French. The location is very good, with a lot of good restaurants within a... More

The Melia Colbert was a beautiful hotel just a few blocks from Notre Dame. Because of it's locale, it was always very easy to find our way back. The front desk staff were very helpful in terms of giving us suggestions, tips and help on navigating the city. Would return to this hotel if I were ever again in Paris.

Stayed at this property mid-December for 4 nights. My profession: travel agent. This is a small charming boutique hotel on the left bank in a great location near cafés, shops, with views of Notre Dame, close to St. Michel metro stations with easy access to CDG and to all city metro routes. Beautiful walk near Seine, service was excellent, staff... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
