I would certainly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very clean, nice decoration, very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Service was attentive. If you travel with large suitcases the elevator won't be very comfortable being so narrow. Location wise, it is around 20 minutes walking distance to the Opera. And close to Gare du Nord train station. Very practical. With... More

I staid there 1 week. I would say that it is the best hotel for around 90 euro pernight i staid in Paris(i lived 4 weeks on other hotel) Pros: - very very good wifi connection - close to the metro station - Good breakfasts - close to the center of Paris Cons: - too small elevator(only one person can... Loved this little hotel, and should I return to Paris I will stay here again! Location was excellent, right beside a metro station, key for a solo traveller as I felt very safe, never too far to go once darkness descends! Area was nice, with some beautiful restaurants nearby! Staff were very friendly and helpful, night porter doubles as a... More

This is a small but perfectly nice hotel, perfectly located right next to the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Metro station and several good restaurants, within walking distance of Montmartre and central Paris. The slightly bizarre Scottish decor theme aside, our room was a good size but on the small side. The lift too is tiny and only big enough for two people but... More

I stayed 3 nights at the Brittany 3-5 St Lazare with my daughter and granddaughter. We had a family room and it was just right. The front desk staff members were extremely attentive, pleasant, and helpful. This is a small hotel by American standards but very charming and attractive. We felt welcome and safe. The surrounding area has shops and... More

I stayed one night at the Brittany hotel. The room is small, like many other similar hotels in Paris, but is well maintained and very clean. The location is great with one metro station in 2 minutes walk and two others (different lines) within 3-minutes. The elevator is ridiculously small - hardly enough for 2 people. I was on a... More

Lovely hotel, the staff were very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The room is a decent size for the price and location, the bed is particularly comfortable. There wasn't much noise from other guests but you can hear the traffic but it isn't on a busy road so this wasn't a problem for us. We didn't have the breakfast... More

We stayed in this hotel in August 2014 and found it to be very reasonably priced for the location and standard of the hotel. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, lovely breakfast (additional charge but worth it!). The location was perfect for all the all the main sites, and next to the metro if you want to travel further... More

The Brittany is an excellent hotel in many ways, location and value for money in particular. However the management operate a disreputable practice of debiting cards in the currency of the country in which the card-issuing bank is domiciled, not the currency of their invoice or of the customer's choice. My Visa debit card pre-loaded with Euros was debited in... More

Dear Sir, I thank you for your comment. We had numbers of email exchanged about this currency subject. The fintrax gives the opportunity to pay in Euros or the currency of the country you're from. The first choice is automatically Euros, to do it in a different currency it show be asked by the customer. I've been abroad, when I... More

Very nice cosy hotel, clean and with elevator. Small rooms, but no problem at all. 24 hours reception, good breakfast for good price. American guests, please be aware that this is Paris where people live in 20 square mt.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
