We stayed in this hotel in August 2014 and found it to be very reasonably priced for the location and standard of the hotel. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, lovely breakfast (additional charge but worth it!). The location was perfect for all the all the main sites, and next to the metro if you want to travel further... More

The Brittany is an excellent hotel in many ways, location and value for money in particular. However the management operate a disreputable practice of debiting cards in the currency of the country in which the card-issuing bank is domiciled, not the currency of their invoice or of the customer's choice. My Visa debit card pre-loaded with Euros was debited in... More

Very nice cosy hotel, clean and with elevator. Small rooms, but no problem at all. 24 hours reception, good breakfast for good price. American guests, please be aware that this is Paris where people live in 20 square mt.

The hotel is very well located, it is clean and tidy, the staff is indeed friendly. If you travel alone or in couple would make a lot of sense to hire a shuttle to the airport: this is way cheaper than a taxi. Rooms are very small, and WiFi leaves to be desired in terms of stable connection. All in... More

Dear Sir, I thank you very much for taking time to leave a review about your stay in our hotel. The team will be very pleased about your compliment of their human being. I'll tell them. The room size depend of the typ and of course of the price. They are all controlled by the authority. You complained about the... More

Dear Client, I thank you very much for your very nice review. All the team here is so pleased to have been congratulated so well. The noise is a very big problem in Paris. We have double window in all rooms but the traffic noise cannot be stopped. We do not have a real solution. Even the town hall didn't... More

Great location, easily walked from Gard du Nord station - under 20 minutes. Lovely area where the hotel is located, lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Walking distance to some tourist sites - the Louvre is only 20 mins away! Rooms were small, but that was expected based on other reviews. Bathrooms were clean and seemed to be... More

First, I tried emailing the hotel for a recommendation on best transportation from train station to the hotel, but they never responded. Then our cab driver from the train station couldn't find the hotel because rue Saint-Lazare changes direction without notice and the address wasn't showing up in his GPS. When he called the number supplied by another website, the... More

Nice hotel in a great location - the nearest metro station is just round the corner connecting you to the rest of the city. 15 mins walk from Gare Du Nord. It's a short walk to the Moulin Rouge (10 mins) and just up the road there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. The hotel's decor is really nice,... More

Stayed again at the Brittany because of its' location and value. The renovated dining room and bar (since our last stay) are excellent areas, the dining room is now much brighter making breakfast very enjoyable. Commenting on breakfast, each morning we had the best scrambled eggs we've ever tasted - very smooth and creamy. Rooms are still the same, ours... More

I spent 7 days in the Brittany hotel in September. The first room they gave me was on the street side. It was VERY noisy. Impossible to sleep peacefully... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
