Bed is comfortable and room and bath are clean, spacious and light. Windows open for ventilation and heated towel bar works well. Building and neighborhood are quiet and front desk staff are helpful. Public computer is in an unlit area, so you can't see the keyboard at night, and airconditioning in room is a bit noisy.

Even though I found the rooms smaller than the average of the Ibis hotels I have stayed in, the location was superb, the (little) service and warmth on arrival was all lovely! Loved the breakfast in particular -- modest, yet offering enough choices and great value for the Paris tourist!

I have been to several Ibis hotels and this one was the worst. My room was very old-fashioned and grim and the window on a small back court did not allow any sunlight to come into the room. Thankfully though, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. When I asked the reception staff to keep... More

We often stay in IBIS hôtels when traveling in France. I often stay at IBIS RoissyPole. The IBIS Lafayette is old miniscule rooms small not very clean bathroom. The surroundings are negleted. We were rather happy to continue our trip.

Our room was quite large and the ensuite very clean. Air conditioning effective as the temperatures in Paris at the beginning of July were quite hot. Buffet breakfast adequate although toaster was slow as was the device for boiling eggs. Staff were very helpful however having some conversational level French made life a lot easier. The 9th arrondisement is not... More

Ibis hotels have always been great for the price you pay for it. This was no exception-- the rooms were spacious and very clean. It's in the heart of Paris so it's really good if you plan to walk around the area. The Galleries is so nearby, and everything's at a walking distance (even the Metro station), so I really... More

I dont recommend this hotel because the room are really really really small. The breakfast is not fresh. There is only 8-10 chairs in the breakfast are so you have to wait for you turn until people finish eating. The price of the room on the internet is much more expensive than the one written in the hotel.

Stayed there for five nights at the end of June. We arrived early in the morning and were given a room on the ground floor so that we didn't have to wait till normal check-in time (though this wasn't our requested room). We were then moved to our requested room on the top floor the next day for the rest... More

Stayed here as had a day between flights. Convenient walk to the Roissy bus stop at Opera and very close to metro stations. Rooms were adequate with plenty of light. Hotel is close to a selection of restaurants and I would stay here again. The night porter was a little less than perfect but we all have bad days

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
