We stayed at the hotel for the final three days of a Paris-Alps-Paris trip to see the Tour de France and a little rest and relaxation. The hotel had been booked by my employer in France (I live in Los Angeles). I am always a little leery of 3-star hotels in Paris. Many of them can have very small rooms... More

We stayed here to recover from jet-lag. We knew the location was fantastic. Rooms and public areas are small and modest but clean and adequate. Staff is friendly. Do not expect any oo-la-la and you will be satisfied.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms comfortable. My room had air conditioning and free wi-fi. As I was staying in Paris in July, the A/C was very nice. The Rue Caumartin is very near the Opera and shopping districts and there is a good choice of restaurants right on the doorstep.

The stay at Hotel Caumartin was very enjoyable and we would stay there again if the opportunity ever arises. The staff that we had contact with was great. The front desk folks were friendly and professional. The housekeeper that took care of our room had a great sense of humor and was great about working around our scattered luggage. The... More

We had a triple bedroom with one queen bed and one single bed. It was brightly lit, clean and the bathroom is huge for a European hotel. Very clean , friendly and service-oriented staff. A warm experience in Paris. The best is its LOCATION. But seriously, service was unexpectedly nice and helpful. Thank you

The hotel is very centrally located from Galleries Lafayette & Printemps, which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. The rooms are exactly like it is pictured on the website. The hotel staff is very helpful too. You can book the shuttle to the airport from the hotel which costs 18 euro pp. As we were 3 travelers and... More

This is still my favorite Hotel in the Paris Opera area. I would come back again and again. Friendly staff and great location. Great value for money, business or pleasure. Breakfast is also worth mentioning.

Solid hotel with friendly personal and flexible service near the Opera. Good rooms, good breakfast all for a solid price (by Paris terms). central location helps to reach many Paris sites by foot. Free guest bar, but also nice restaurants near by.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
