Backstory. On our many visits to Paris, we've always stayed with a family member in her apartment. That particular family member passed away. In a pinch, we flew to Paris for the funeral. We stayed at Prince de Conti because it was a block away from the apartment. We are incredibly happy to have stayed here. What is going to... More

There are only two positive things about this hotel and they are the very good location and the included continental breakfast. The room we were first offered was so small my husband and I could not fit our two suitcases in and the bathroom had broken tiles and a lot of mould and also a terrible odour. We complained and... This is a great little hotel in the perfect location. Room smallish but spotlessly clean and functional. Reception staff friendly and helpful. By Paris standards reasonably priced. Did not try the breakfast but found plenty of street cafes in the immediate vicinity.

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. The location was perfect and within walking distance to Notre Dame. The rooms were a good size and clean. However we did not realise thar smoking was permitted and we could smell smoke from the room next door and could hear noise too! The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful but... More

Rooms were clean & serviced every day. Tea/coffee, bar fridge & free wifi all available. The rooms and bathroom were, however tiny. We could also hear other guests in their rooms and some very unpleasant noises! Location is great and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

We spent a few days in Paris before heading home and found this little gem. It's well done, spotlessly clean, very French and only a block off the Seine on the Left Bank. Convenient to St Germain, The Latin Quarter, Th Louvre and Notre Dame. We will definitely be going back on our next trip. The price is right and... More

Rushing out of the door at 7 h this morning at hotel Prince de Conti, I quickly wanted something for breakfast. Nothing was ready, so I quickly took a croissant and a sip of tea. Not a problem. However, as I left the hotel I was asked (forced!) by Philippe (the receptionist) to pay 20 because I had taken breakfast.... More

Booked late, room was very quiet and my priotities were all met: big firm bed(super king sized!), close to the Metro (Odeon and Pont Neuf), powerful hot shower and very close to the sights. Breakfast was good (15 euros each) and a short walk into the latin quarter. 10 mins walk to the louvre.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
