We recently spent 6 nights at the Hotel Mayfair Paris. The location is exceptional--3 minute walk to the Concorde metro and super close to restaurants on Rue St. Honore and anywhere in the 1st. "You are forbidden" to bring outside food or drinks into your room due to hotel room damages. You may obtain drinks from mini-bar, order room service to your room which will not cause room damages at a charge. Not allowed to store any items in mini bar other than hotel items. Hotel Mayfair is in a great location for shopping and visiting the Louvre. We would recommend it generally, but beware of a few things. The one elevator that services it is extremely small and slow, we found ourselves hoofing it up 5 flights on more than one occassion after getting tired of waiting. We stayed at this hotel for second time. This time it was recently refurbished. The location is very good close to most of the places that you want to visit. We had continental breakfast during our stay. The cost is €14/person (quite expensive); it offers Toast, croissant, coffee, juice and yogurt. But it seems to be average for Paris hotels.... more
