Raspail is a small hotel with personal service. It needed an upgrading, and was under refurbishment when we stayed there. 2 minutes to the Metro. Very nice people in the reception and good roomservice. Very clean. Small roms, quiet. Lot of good restaurants close by. 5 minutes to shoppingcenter Lafayette, C &A etc.

I'm regularly going to this hotel for business trips and weekends also. Staff is very friendly and flexible. Location 15mn of the Montparnasse station by metro, which is important for me, living west of France :-). Rooms are more spacious than usual in Paris, a little bit "vintage/old school" but find I them comfortable. Bathroom and beds are always very... More

Thank you so much for your very positive comments about our hotel. I am very glad to hear that you enjoy our rooms and their slightly "vintage" character. We have just started a renovation which will, hopefully, reinforce the Art Deco atmosphere, already very present in our reception hall. I hope that you will approve of our new decorative choices.... Friendly & helpful team who also speak very good English. Important if you'd like help on the metro, eateries, tourist spots etc. As in most of Europe the rooms are small & bathrooms even smaller. However your not in your room much as your most likely out seeing the fantastic sights! AC and heaters in the rooms and dbl glazed... More

Hotel is in a good location but, even we know how tight a room could be in Paris, the room was too small. The beds were straight with bad matreeses and pillows. Toilette paper, towels, soap were bad too. Need to go to supermarket to buy the basics. The reception is nice and they speak English very well.

Hello, Sir, Reading your comments makes me very sad. Indeed, our rooms are small (like in most parisian hotels) but I do not share your opinion that our mattresses are in bad condition. We opted for natural soap and shampoo in easy to use dispensers, a solution which appears to satisfy most of our guests and regret that you did... More

I recommend you this hotel. It's in a very nice location close to lots of restaurants and shops. There's a restaurant in one of the corners that closes at 1AM which is very conveniente if you arrive very late at night. We had a room in the corner with an amazing view facing the street, everything was very clean and... More

We requested corner rooms on highest level and it was perfect. Lots of room for a Paris hotel and great view of the Eiffel Tower. Breakfast is in basement so don't do it, head out to the streets where there are many great cafes. This hotel is located a few step from the metro and a couple more steps to... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your very positive comments about our hotel, our location and our staff. We intend to renovate soon our cafeteria, but whatever we do, it will still remain at the basement. This is the reason why we normally offer each and every guest to have breakfast in bed, with no supplement in price. Could... More

This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Raspail and we enjoyed our stay even more than the first time. The location is close to restaurants, movie theaters, shops and the wonderful Raspail Marché and Edgar Quinet Marché. Metro stop Vavin is across the street taking you to all the attractions of Paris, although we walked everywhere without a... More

Good location, the metro station Vavin is opposite the hotel with direct connection to Gare du Nord. The Gare Montparnasse is 10 mins walk away. The hotel is approx 5 mins from the Montparnasse Cementry and less than 10 mins from the Luxembourg Gardens. The hotel is located on a busy crossroad of the Boulevards Raspail and Montparnasse, a bus... More

ok, but noisy - poor soundproofing so lots of traffic noise. Not obvious that fridge is in the wardrobe. Great location (apart from noise). Would not be first choice of hotel in Paris in the future although bed was comfortable and staff pleasant. Breakfast area not great.

Charming, typically French hotel with lovely rooms, great location (use the nearby Metro- it is soo easy) The best part was Hotel Staff, the owner, Madame M and her very capable staff who were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
