My wife and I needed to find accommodation for our final night in Paris and we chose very well. We dropped our bags off very early and walked 2 minutes to the Metro station and when we arrived back late that night after touring, our bags were in our room on the top floor in the Jean Cocteau room on... Stayed there last week. Location is great. We got up grated room which gave us some space. Basic rooms are like in all of small Parisian hotels..some 14 -16 square m. These come as a shock to people arriving from N. American standards. We had great experience with the staff at the desk. Hotel rooms and breakfast area need some... More

I was very happy with this hotel and it's in one of my favourite neighbourhoods.Any transport you want is there--bus at the door and metro half a minute away. Great (and famous) restaurants/cafés abound. Shopping is great. One of the greatest parks in the world is a 5 minute walk away. The staff at the hotel Raspail Montparnasse are the... More

I have been using this hotel for several years. The staff is always helpful, gracious and very professional. I love the neighborhood with a lot of restaurants, stores, movie theater and easy access to the subway. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that I use to go to the Louvre and the Opera house as well... More

We love this hotel, it is ideally located close to great restaurants and metro connections. Breakfast is a truly authentic experience, continental croissants and baguettes with jams. Rooms are great, clean and usually have a lovely view over the Montparnasse and into the distance you might get to see the Eiffel Tower if you have a front facing room. Excellent... More

The room was clean and fairly spacious for Paris. Our shower and toilet were in separate rooms, which we liked. Our room was on the side of the street, and if you craned your neck, you could see the Eiffel tower from affair. The street view was a nice Parisian street. The double windows kept the majority of the sound... More

Enjoyed my 2 night stay here very much! Staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms a bit small but cozy! Plenty of restaurants all around and a parking garage just around the corner.

Nice small hotel. Location is very good, close to underground station. Good choice of restaurant around. HOtel room is small but very clean and fresh. Bathroom was very new (just refreshed)... Continental Breakfast is not what I liked - small and expensive. Any extra option (outside of Continental will cost you 12 EUR). Anyway I will Come back to this... More

The entrance hall is a bit disappointing, but I got welcomed in a really friendly way that I immediately felt at home. My single room was not large, but had everything I needed, really clean and comfortable and well decorated. The staff is very friendly. I did not try breakfast so I can not comment. Wifi is free and works... More

This is the fifth time I've stayed here and I cannot fault this dear little hotel. The Art Deco foyer is beautiful, the staff always pleasant, the rooms small but spotless, the bathrooms also. I love going out for breakfast in Paris on the nearby Grands Boulevards, but frankly, the breakfast at the Raspail is worth it, even though the... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
