My only complain was that the boy from reception didn't speak english, The location is perfect, you can go walking to the Opera, and there's a store right in front of the Hotel, and there's a lot of restaurants nearby, the rooms are cozy and clean, it's a small hotel with a great location.

Having Spent months prior to our check in communicating with the wonderful staff at P.O.H we were even more amazed with our check in by the beautiful Elissa who gave us all maps train and bys time tables showed... We stayed at the Plaza Opera whilst visiting family in Paris over three nights mid-week. The Hotel is privately owned and, by Parisian standards, of average size spread over six floors. Standard Rooms were very clean and generally large enough for a king-size bed which was covered in good quality linen, the rooms might be considered small but we were... More

Staff very pleasant, helpful . room comfortable breakfast average not a great selection one problem which we did notice on leaving the breakfast room cleaning staff were sitting on the stairs so we had to catch the lift to the second floor we were not impressed with that . apart from that nice place to stay for a short time.

Plaza Opera is in a great location, close to trains, bars, restaurants, cafes and historical sites. It is comfortable, and staff happy to assist. Great for a few days in this gorgeous city. Staff are very helpful, and breakfasts lovely.

We spent four nights in this lovely hotel, room was small but had a lovely balcony with a view across the roofs of Paris, my brother had a room two doors up and he had a nice view of the Eiffel Tower, great place to watch the nightly light show with a glass of champagne. Lift is Very small, but... More

Dear Joanne Thank you for your nice contribution. The location of the hotel is very popular with our customers in Paris. We often recommand the restaurant" Le Rouge et Le verre". Did you notice the name of this restaurant was a joke ? Rouge for wine and verre for glass or red and green (vert) Best regards Helene More

We were a family of 7 adults travelling together. The reception staff were so nice and very helpful. The rooms were typically small but comfortable and very clean. As with many buildings in central Paris (and France generally) no air conidtioning which was pretty harsh when the day time temperature was 38degrees. However, we had a portable fan that moved... We spent 3 nights in this nice hotel! The location is great, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, bus line 42 goes to center. There are also several metro stations nearby. You can find a lot of nice brasseries or cafes near the hotel where you can have lunch or diner (i.e. Le Rouge et le... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
