Our room wasn't quite as glamorous as the website...and 'bijou' would be a good description...very small studio with bathroom, our room was saved by having a small balcony with great street views..very pleasant in the evening...easy walking distance from Gare du nord, the area is well served with cafes, restaurants etc...if you just want a bolt hole in Paris, this... Nice Hotel, located near to Opera House. Pleasant stay. Well connected to metro plus 4 bus lines in front of the hotel. Small room, good breakfast according to French standards. Per total, a nice stay in Paris

The hotel is located in a nice area with restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities. Rooms in the 5th floor are nice decorated and overall, for Paris, in good shape. Nevertheless it is only to 65% clean and 70% nice. Breakfast is served upstairs, like in almost Parisian hotels. It's offers a good choice and quality. The Eiffeltower view is not... More

If I wanted to feel like I could be staying in any hotel anywhere in the world by picking one of the many worldwide chains available I wouldnt have booked this hotel. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Yes the rooms and elevator are small, and no, breakfast is not a 5 star affair, but within the walls of the... More

Stay away from this place. We stayed one night in this hotel. Not only did we notice that the general cleanliness of the common areas (corridors, lift, etc) was far from stellar, but we even had the displeasure to be woken up by bugs in the bed. ... As we complained to the reception, we were told that this was... More

Breakfast was very limited. Typical French one with too much sweet stuff for me. Rooms quite ok and clean. bathroom with tiles was tidy and clean although one tile fell off during my stay. Hallways a bit worn down. Wifi good, even worked at the bar next door. My room had a nice balcony with a table for 2 but... More

Good location because close to two metro stations and well served by bus line. Overall the hotel is in good condition and the staff very friendly. As negative points to mention are the very small rooms and poor breakfast.

Stated in a twin room in April, the location is excellent only a 10 minute walk from the lourve and next to a supermarket and lovely cafés. Very helpful reception staff. A good hotel if you want a base in a safe location with nice cafés and resturants.

If you want value for money, great locations AND a view of the tower from your balcony this is where you want to stay. You're in Paris....don't stay in one of those same-same international brands where you could be anywhere in the world... Live a little, embrace the character and charm. Yes the lift is small..so what! The rooms are... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
