I had the pleasure of staying at the Madison Hotel in June of 2015 and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the location can not be beat and the room was wonderful, spacious and very clean. Be sure to ask for a room facing the church. Any street noise was not an issue. All the... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Madison Hotel in Paris. The hotel was exceptionally clean, excellent location (right opposite metro, shops around and plenty of restaurants), rooms were of a good size and all amenities we wanted. The concierge booked us a fantastic meal at the Restaurant AG down the road, and all staff were... More

Very good location. Everyone is helpful and go further than expected. The only downside is the breakfast, but there are many bistros and cafés nearby. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, even though my room looked directly at St. Germaine chapel. I recommend this hotel very much

Best location. Incredibly friendly staff. We will return for sure. We felt like we had are own place in Paris. It was our first time on the rive gauche and now we keep asking ourselves why took us so long to explore this side of Paris.

Hotel was in a great location, busy area. All staff were kind and welcoming. Hotel was very clean, room was a bit small but big enough for the two. Heard Paris has small rooms anyway. Great stay overall.

We booked our trip last minute and weren't really sure where to stay. We landed on this hotel because it is located in the Latin Quarter and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The hotel was cute and charming. The common areas were beautiful and well kept. Our room was a little small but that's what you should expect... More

This hotel was absolutely amazing. It is situated in the lovely St.Germaine area. The room was gorgeous and the staff were great. Nice breakfast available in the hotel as well with lots of options. The front desk reception was very helpful.

Will repeat our visit to Paris often and stay here. Perfect location. Booked through Amex travel. Half block to metro. Across from great cafes and shopping. Nice stroll to Louvre. Small well appointed rooms. Think of an ultra modern efficiency.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
