I have no idea how this hotel is rated 4 star. It is clean but basic beyond belief. My room was tiny with a massive gap at the bottom of the door where I had to put my coat to muffle light and noise. I was staying for business and arrived late. I had not eaten but was told room... More

The Hotel Malte Opera is in a great central location - we were able to walk to many of our destinations or walk to the metro easily. Rooms were slightly on the small side but clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was included and there was a lot of choice for a European breakfast. Also the free buffet was a welcomed... More

The staff were very helpful and polite. Location is very good for a tourist visit. Free soft drinks from the mini bar was unexpected and the WiFi worked well. Very good breakfast every morning. We were very pleased with the hotel and it contributed to a great holiday in Paris. I would return without hesitation.

The hotel is very central for sightseeing in Paris. Rooms are spotlessly clean. The soft drinks in the mini bar are free as is 24hr wifi. Tea,cakes and soft drinks also free from early afternoon. The staff are attentive and polite. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and will doubtless return again

Excellent combination of hospitality, location, comfort, cleanliness, and price. We've stayed in the hotel as two couples, and all of us agreed that we will look to come back next time we're in Paris.

This hotel is in the middle of Paris very well located. It has suitable rooms and a very dedicated staff, Apolline, Marion (who talks 4 languages!! Including Japanese!!) and Lorena. I have well enjoyed my stay and it is nice to note that they have a little buffet free of charge in the lobby for their guests!

I happend to be there from 7th of January till 9th. Very strange moment in the city of Paris. But the hotel was very cozy and especially service was so attentive and full of attention! Each time I pass by the reception the hotel staff asked me if all is ok. The hotel room was small was very cozy. Especially... More

Stayed here for two nights for business. I echo what other reviewers say, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, afternoon tea snacks was very impressive, and very helpful staff. The croissants at breakfast were superb.

I stayed with my daughter for 2 nights and was very happy with staff, room and location. Rooms are smallish but I have stayed in smaller ones. Bathroom is modern with shower over bath. Friendly reception staff went out of their way to offer helpful advice regarding restaurants, banks etc. The availability of free refreshments and snacks was a surprising... More

The most charming staff, excellent breakfast buffet spread and just a 10-minute walk to the Louvre. Also a short trek to bus stop/metro stations. Complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, soda, juices, water) and snacks between 3-7pm. And the area around it is dotted with restaurants of varying cuisines (Including Japanese!) convenience stores and cafés. We stayed there Dec31-Jan2. On our first... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
